I can't think of any off the top of my head - but would somebody out there in Legion World like to write in and discuss a particular "jumping the shark" moment that they can recall from the past?

- The "return" of Invisible Kid during the Levitz era, only to turn out to be a demon.
- Levitz's Omen & Prophet and Starfinger. Worst. Villains. Ever.
- 5YL. The shark was jumped in issues #4/5. Highlights included Shvaughn/Sean, Garth/Proty, Sun Boy turned moral weakling, Bounty, Kono, Kid Quantum and the reanimated corpses of dead Legionnaires.
- SW6.
- Lori Morning.
- Emerald Violet.
- Kitty Kat Kinetix.
- Snake Projectra.
- Element Lad, space cadet.
- Cosmic Boy the meat puppet.
- Cub's accelerated growth.
There are others. I just don't have the time.

Emerald Violet is definitely the point at which the reboot Legion jumped the shark.
The Anomaly is the point at which they killed it.

Preboot v4 #4 and #5. Even though there are things I like about the TMK Legion, and even find this storyline interesting, this is the moment where the original Legion derailed to the point that it never really got back on track. That's not to say I think it couldn't have gotten back on track, but that in fact it didn't.
Postboot Emerald Vi. Though there a few warning signs before this, this was the first storyline where rot started to set in on the reboot Legion, and it decayed very quickly. DnA managed to fix a few things about the team, destroyed even more, until by the end of it the shark had swallowed and [I defer to Tamper Lad for explanation of how sharks dispose of waste material] this incarnation of the team.

Basically, it's a term deriving from an episode of Happy Days when The Fonz jumped over a shark on water skis. It's generally agree that the show went massively downhill after that point, never to recover.
