I used to buy Superboy comics all the time. They really were fun as were all the superhero comics in the 50's and 60's. They weren't too serious - you knew everything would turn out all right in the end - which was nice and reassuring for a kid.

In 1967 at least, Adventure Comics, featuring the Legion, was printing an average of 707,000 copies per issue and selling, on average, 413,140.
I'll look and see if I can find a 1967 Superboy with the circulation data, but I'm willing to bet the entire longbox that books in that the numbers will come in lower than Adventure's sales.
