RE: beardless youths. I, for one, would HATE to see Saturn Girl, Dream Girl, Shadow Lass, Light Lass, Phantom Girl, or Atom Girl with beards! Did anyone know that in aicient Rome, a beard was a necessity for men? The only men who didn't have one were the slaves.

I supposed Shvaughn Erin (before she was retconned into being a guy) or that ghost girl Invisible Kid supposedly dated could be considered. Legionnaire's beards.

This trend with beards in Rome began during the Emepror Hardian's reign in the 2nd Century. It lasted until the Emperor Constantine's reign in the early 4th century, but afterwards (because of his refusal to wear a beard), wearing a beard was something that was sometimes common and sometimes not, usually depending on geography.
Meanwhile, a "whap" across the forehead is definitely something one doesn't forget! Somehow Star Boy got some type of Samson complex about beards!
