Lash, maybe Chuck wasn't so jovial and sweet while he was thin. Maybe he was arrogant and misogynistic. Acting all mean to Iresa, doing untold terrible things in private!
However, over in Bits, at the XGF thread, I have Iresa and Chuck remembering their time together with joy.
Here's a new question...did skinny Chuck pop Supes in the nose after that rude comment? I think he would have, knowing that Superboy would only respect his ilk.

Mostly agree; the only reason that Chuck wouldn't hit Superboy is that invunerability. They made the point in too many pre-Crisis stories that a human can break his hand on Superman, if he doesn't use his super-reflexes to roll with the punch.
But yelling at Superboy and demanding he apologize? That's perfectly acceptable.

"BRYSON CITY – A man charged in a double slaying and a Swain County detention officer who authorities believe helped the inmate escape from jail remain on the loose... Swain County Sheriff Curtis Cochran said investigators believe detention officer Anita Kaye Vestal, 32, aided Jeffery Czechonna Miles in his escape... Miles, 27, is black, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 180-190 pounds.
Vestal, who has worked at the Swain County jail for about eight months, Cochran said, is described as a Native American, about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 275 pounds."
