Actually, in her debut story (by Paul Levitz), minutes after her introduction, an exasperated Sun Boy said, "Perhaps Little Mary Sunshine would like to play navigator or pilot!" That referred to a stereotypical Indian maiden in a 19th Century melodrama. Never again did Levitz come anywhere near that close in using something as denigrating or obscure for describing any character.
