The question that ground my "Guess What I Want To Start a Topic About" topic to a halt.

You see... I told you it was a difficult question!

Let it go, Ester.

Why wouldn't they? Should we care? Isn't sandwich preference someone's personal business? Or is there a deeper meaning to this question? Isn't this topic too existential for this board? or should that be too phenomenological? I get so confused.

So, what do you guys think: were Garl and Englen one of the Legion's first gay couples, or was one of them a (very androgynous) chick?
(They were later revealed to have a daughter in TMK!)

My standard answer to all "or" questions is "yes"
Posted by Eryk Davis Ester on :
Hmm... I suppose it's possible that they were *both* really androgynous chicks...

Does that mean Englenna was adopted?

Who the zarking fardwarks were Garl and Englen?
Posted by Eryk Davis Ester on :
Garl and Englen were two close friends of Mon-El from the Adventure era. The Time Trapper, disguised as Chief Wilson, once threatened android duplicates of the two of them in an attempt to force Mon-El to reveal the secret of the Concentrator.
Englenna, who was said to be their daughter, later served as Laurel Gand's nanny.

Thanks. I thought the name 'Englenna' was familiar...

Englenna's name just came up in the Female Extraterrestrial Models thread over at Bits. Someone thought she might have been a Dominator. I suppose that's something she had to bear a lot.
Englenna could be described as having a great personality, but...

Great Galaxies! I must be doing my own retcons!

Maybe with all the current focus on Mon-El in the DCU, we'll find out more about his friendship with Garl and Englen!
Posted by Eryk Davis Ester on :
Bah! Still no appearances by Garl and Englen, even with Mon-El being leader and Green Lantern and stuff!
I can only conclude that Paul Levitz is biased against androgynous lesbian aliens.
