George Perez just signed a 5-year exlusive deal with DC and Newsarama has an article (via Comic Shop News) about in. During the course of the interview Perez had this to say:

quote:
Pérez has at least one project he’d love to tackle. “It seems inconceivable in my thirty-plus years in this industry that I’ve never drawn a Legion of Super-Heroes story, and that’s a wrong that needs to be addressed. I’ve called that to Mark Waid’s attention, in fact, and he agrees with me. Legion was one of my favorite books as a child, and I’ve never drawn them except when they appeared in Crisis. I think there may be a market for a standalone Waid-Pérez Legion of Super-Heroes story…
So Barry, make way for at least a special from Waid/Pérez. Please. [Smile]

Wow.
You know, Barry started on dotLegion as an inker and still does his own when time allows. I'd be really interested in seeing Perez/Kitson art. Still though a Perez drawn Legion of Superheroes Special would be fantastic!

George Perez doing a Legion story would be amazing! God, I'd have to smoke a cigarette afterward just to uncurl my toes [Smile]

Barry is a pretty secure guy. I don't think he would have a problem.

I love that Dream Girl. Don't think I've seen it before. Maybe I just haven't seen the colored version.

I think Dean might have colored the Dreamer picture. I know that I did the Colossal Boy, Lightning Lass, Polar Boy and Ultra Boy pics. I actually added the backgrounds for the Polar Boy and Ultra Boy pics [Smile]

Wasn't George responsible for this infamous cover?

Then of course there's this pic (which would have made an incredible poster):

George did a few covers back around that time. There was the one from when Grimbor had encricled the Earth with chains, and then the ones from the journey back to Smallville to restore the memory of Superboy (who was dressed as Reflecto). I think there were like 5 covers total, ending in the one with Superboy flying in the foreground, with a time bubble and Legion HQ behind him.
