Apparently this is one of the few loose ends from DnA that they actually had some plan for, but I have no idea what it would have been.

The obvious idea was that he was going to be Highfather, but I don't think that was ever really the plan. Maybe they were going to reveal that Bart Allen's super-speed actually came from being the son of Ultra Boy.

Another "ehh" comic book idea that thankfully got squashed. Move along now. Nothing else here for you to see...

Did Cub ever even get a name? I get the feeling the only thing DnA were interested in was the "phase-shift" birthing process and everything else was an annoyance to be dealt with later (hopefully by some other writer) whenever inspiration struck.
Pretty sloppy plotting if you ask me. Were there ANY DnA stories that weren't completely riddled with cliches?

I kinda thought with the rapid aging thing that he was going to be some version of the Infinite Man

He was, I think going to die quite quickly from aging fast despite a poor storyline involving Brainy having to find a cure then there would be a little bit of angst though nothing like the depth of emotion that would be expected from that sort of situation, then he'd be totally forgotten about. Can we just skip to that part now please?
