Legion of Super-Heroes: The More Things Change (Legion of Super-Heroes) (Taschenbuch)

Has this been posted yet somewhere? This is a solicitation on German Amazon for a Levitz/Lightle Trade, coming out in december. I was quite surprised to find it, and I'm even more interested what issues it will be collecting - probably a sequel to "An eye for an eye"?

Gives me even more hope that the oldtimers will be the surviving version of "L3W"...

Nice rendition of all three Cosmic Boys on one cover. I am going to buy them all in twos - one for reading and one for taking with me to SDCC next year and hunt down Perez to autograph all L3W books and then frame it on the wall.

Can't wait to see Garth on the next one.

say, Polar Boy, Dawnstar and Wildfire are going to pick up Starman? Dawnstar has been visiting a lot to the 20th century lately...Polar Boy's first time to 20th century, if my memory recalls correctly. Hmm just a speculation. Or Dawnstar s going to introduce her lover to Wildfire, eh? *duck*

No apologies needed Gary. I was going to ask if you minded getting the solicits this month as we're on the road and have no net access in Vegas. Thanks!

True, but his parents have been there before, and the "adopted" SUperboy, no less.

The solicitation for Final Crisis : Submit (written by Grant Morrison) makes a reference to "the great darkness". It may just be marketing speak, but perhaps where Morrison is taking Final Crisis is to tie it in with "The Great Darkness Saga" somehow.

Very good representation of where the 3 Legions stand in the pantheons of DC. Gotta love Manapul's intricateness on Dream Girl's revamp, but can't say much about what the cover's trying to imply... Some things are just meant to stay as jokes, and that's it.

JENNI'S BACK!!!!!!! [XS]

argh!! first of all, Dream Girl gets killed....then Dream Boy showed up....then in the last three issues, on the monitor board, it showed Dream Boy first then next issue Dream Girl and recent issue showed Dreamer....argh! what's going on with those Dreamy stuff?! it's driving me nuts! As much as I love Dream Girl and wants to see her come back alive...I am hoping that it will happen.

she looks so pretty, alluring, and lovely!! Unlike Princess Projectra - looks so bitter...is that the return of the Devil's Dozen?

Am I the only one who noticed this L3W cover is not by George Pérez, as stated? Looks more like Tom Feister to me.
And Star Boy is back to normal? Hummm. And hopefully, this will be the last time we see XS and all those lame-o Reboot characters! Off with their heads!

It is also on the US Amazon, CK. It seems they are re-releasing the baxter up to the COIE - tying with Action Legion.
What is actually more bizarre is that there is a 4th collection of JLI (!!!) announced to January on Amazon. Even though I find it excellent, it also baffles me to why DC is doing so. Are they sorry for killing all these characters?

I don't read the main Legion book anymore so forgive me if this character has already been identified but if not - is that Cannus on the cover there?!? Loves it if so.

Have you forgotten the Subs being attacked by Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Pets on the campus of Stanhope College in Adventure #351?

Cannus, 3boot superpet or Chameleon...there hasn't been any dog in the series yet, so the possibilities are open.

I sure hope that Dream Girl isn't a fake-out cover and that we get some resolution to her fate - and/or Brainy's concept of her.

Posted by MLLASH on :

The Dream Girl thing was the biggest mistake of Waid's run, made worse by the fact that he wrote her so well in her 'pre-dead/non-corporeal/whatever the hell she' is appearances.

Here's hoping Shooter can spin this into a satisfying conclusion.

WARNING: Keeping Nura as Brainy's non-corporeal love object does NOT constitute "satisfying" to this fan.

Posted by superboymddjr on :

whats Brainy holding oh his hand? something shiny? getting married or Legion flight ring back to her?

At first I thought of Cannus, and also what about Devil's Dozen - a couple of them have horns...

Thanks, Korbal, I completely forgot about the Subs attacked by the Pets!

I was going to wait until the full solicitations arrived later but I can't resist pointing out that's *an engagement ring* Brainy is flashing at Nura. Legion Wedding, I hope, I hope, I hope!

The LO3W cover looks unfinished. For the artist's sake, I hope so.

20th century is not a typo, methinks. Possibly they're going back to the first Crisis to "fix" things.

More later, maybe.

Dream Girl finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really hope she gets a body back! It was such a mistake making her incorporeal. Hopefully Shooter corrects the mistake.

Why is Nura wearing a Legion ring? I thought her ring was taken from her body when she died?? Wasn't that the ring they gave Supergirl?

Can't wait till October!!!!

Nura doesn't have a flight ring, clothing, or a body. IMHO, these are just the way she sees herself, and therefore how she spiritually manifests. Nice that she still thinks of herself as part of the team...

if querl and dream girl get married or act adorable and in love, shooter can kill the whole legion and you wont hear a peep out of me. oh my god i'm so happy. he can write saturn girl as the wussiest, submissive piece of crap and i won't care, just give me querl nura. wow i'm so easily bought. hopefully projectra being there doesn't mean this is an illusion or i'll kill myself.

Nice to see you finally pleased, Adriana.

The LSH solicit says the cover is by Leonardi and Green, but the image is clearly Manapul... veddy interestink! Hope that is indeed the cover. I have to say, I'm not a big Leonardi fan.

Posted by Tromium on :

It's the reverse, I believe. Leonardi said he was drawing a Shooter two-parter featuring Dream Girl.

This issue comes out at Halloween -- when the line between the living and the dead disappears. Anything is possible!

all i keep thinking is dream girl's "you'll feel differently when we're married n___n"

I'm all for making stories fresh and interesting, but somewhere in the Fourth Wall, Thom's crying his heart out. Ahahaha.

Wow. That's the first time I've seen this. Wasn't "The more Things Change" the title of a Legion-recruitment story arc where they decided not to add new members and came up with the infamous line, "Rather no new Legionnaires than new dead ones."?
Looks wonderful.
I want one.

Anyway the title rings a bell.
y'know?

ohhh true, i recall dream girl saying, in the waid run, when someone questioned her about her and Querl that she actually liked Thom, but maybe she grew closer to Querl? @_@;;

It collects the stories that came right after Eye For An Eye on the Baxter Series. Which is exactly the period BEFORE Action Legion, according to Geoff Johns.

Yeah Ricardo, seems to be the plan of TPTB: Til the end of L3W, they probably want to reach that exact moment in the Baxter series when Crisis Number One hit and everything got convoluted as a result... so when a new Legion #1 will be hitting the stands, they can tell us "This is what happened before, just get those three Trades - we will fill you up about what has happened meanwhile in the new book..."

Should they actually be PLANNING this? PLANNING? As in, "Yes we have a concept", not as in "DiDio throws cool stuff at you no matter if the stories fit together"?

Well, I have to confess: if just to boost sales, I'll be getting those Baxter Trades, I am that mad...
