The Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century #1 Written by J. Torres Art by Chynna Clugston-Flores Cover by Steve Uy
An all-new series spinning out of the smash-hit TV show, written by J. Torres (TEEN TITANS GO, Sidekicks, Alison Dare: Little Miss Adventures) and drawn by the creator of the indie favorite Blue Monday, Chynna Clugston-Flores!
To stop the Fatal Five from destroying Metropolis, the Legion of Super-Heroes travel back in time for reinforcements, because this looks like a job for…Clark Kent?! Can six teenagers from the future help a mild-mannered reporter become the Man of Steel, or will the Fatal Five determine his destiny before it’s even begun?
Retailers: Please see the solicitation for the Free Comic Book Day Edition of this issue elsewhere in this issue of Previews.

Not a fan of the art. Wow. Wonder why they're changing it. I just got used to the cartoon.

It's not SUV it's SUY. This may be our guy, Steve Uy. In fact, I'm positive he's our guy after looking at a couple of his Marvel covers.

No, thank you. I didn't spot the initials the first time I looked. Too busy trying to get the image posted.

...the cover, it's not working for me. And I mean that in terms of what it looks like. The artist is obviously capable of better work via what's on the linked site. Just...what? *headdesk* *sigh*

The cover looks...unfinished somehow. maybe this is just preliminary to get something in on time for the solicitations.
I hope.

Well, I'm up for giving this a shot. I wish I knew a young whipper-snapper to give a copy of this to and hopefully hook them on comics.

But, it looks like I can wait for FCBD to snag one for free...
Fine I'll buy one too.
But seriously doesn't announcing that the product that you are charging $2.25 for will be available for free in a few weeks guarantee high sales of the non-free variant?
Must contain urge to call DC marketing people.

I'll definitely be picking it up, but the cover definitely looks bad.
I like how the beginning of the Newsrama article says, "The series will be, like the other titles, based on the animated version of the properties (showing on Cartoon Network and KidsWB/CW), but will not be a monthly re-telling of episodes." Yet the solicitation sounds like a re-telling of the first episode. I guess they're OK for the first issue since it's not technically at "monthly retelling" until issue two comes out. But then he talks about issue two coming off the Timber Wolf episode, but at least it's a continuation.

I'm definetley going to pick up the 2nd issue if I come across it, and the one where Lightning Lad and Superman beat the crap out of each other will most likely be AWESOME!!
