As far as I remember - collected and read the series somewhen in the 90s - not only did Millenium have no lasting effect on the Legion, it also had no lasting effect on the DC universe... or did these "chosen ones" survive until the next major crossover (which was... Invasion! if I remember correctly) or even a little longer?

The only effect I can recall is that Millenium was so bad my eyes actually started to bleed and my head almost exploded, so I couldn't read anything at all for a few days.

The mini-series had a similar effect on Paul Levitz, thus explaining the massive drop in quality of his writing for the second half of the Baxter series!

By the time Millenium had occurred, and the Legion had now been sucked into yet another crossover, I don't blame him for getting discouraged. It was the start of that trend taking a brutal turn for the worse, even if the Legion's involvement was minimal for several of the subsequent crossovers.
