Okay, so maybe my memory was/is faulty, but I could have sworn that the nifty DCDirect action figure of Starman/Thom Kallor was coming out
this week (apr 15) and that it would even
include an option to have mask on or be unmasked with beard.

However, I have scoured the DC Drect website, and can no longer find it listed. Perhaps it is stuck in an awkward land between "coming soon" and "new"?

Can anyone confirm that either you have it in your hot little hands (if so, when did you get it?) ot that it has (oh I hope not) been cancelled?

I was going to go tonight to have my comic shop hold one for me, but if it's not on the DCdirect website, they may think I'm nuts....

....Perhaps I am.....

JSA FIGURES SHIPPING JUNE 3RD NOW!

Since there's a general DC Direct thread around here somewhere...I'm going to merge this one...eventually.

Thanks, Nightcrawler!
Just the info I needed!

(though I did end up gonig to my comic book
shop prior to seeing this, and they did look at
me like I was nuts...but that's nothing new.)

FYI, I actually remembered seeing a DC Direct thread here (that's how I knew about this in the first place), but for the life of me, I couldn't find it.

Did anybody get this yet?

My comic book shop simply did not receive it, and they had no explanation, other than that DC Direct figures are "frequently" delayed. [Frown]

never mind, just checked DC Direct site again..
evidently, it was delayed one more week, until
June 10.

I SWEAR that info was not their yesterday.

Got my Starman figure... Very cool. The starry field effect is amazing (3D effect) as the figure is molded in transluscent black plastic speckled with silver sprinkles.

Yep, got mine (finally!!!) today too .. it is more
awesome than I had hoped. They did go with the dual
heads, (bearded and masked), which is also very cool.

The one downside is that it's a bit larger than the other DC Direct Legion figs, enough that you can't quite explain it away as simply being due to his greater age. But I can live with that (he's about 20-30% larger).

well I hope the next one will be Mon-El and Tellus, making the first non-Adventure legionnaire to get figure-actioned. They are kind of a part of Superman lines...so why not? I like Tellus.

Tellus would make an awesome looking action figure if it were based on Steve Lightle's designs. (It would really rock to have some way to change the color of his nodules.)

Got mine yesterday! He looks just like me in San Diego last year -- though with a fuller head of hair and bigger muscles. It's clear where the sculptor's inspiration came from, though. [Smile]

Oh wow I got mine today - it looks great, but it's really huuuuuge... he's so much larger than my Cosmic Boy, he looks like his dad... and he's even larger than my Batman Hush and my Starfire. Positioned right, he still does not look out of place...

Set it up with the Thom face on with the masked head positioned in the left hand in "Hamlet" fashion...

Do they produce any DC Direct figures any longer, or is this huge Starman the "new size" of DC? Right now, my Starman is patting Superboy on the shoulder, but when they do procuce more Legion related action figures in this new size, I am wondering how I should place them with all the "little" Silver Age Legionnaires around them...

DCD is infamous for its shifting scale. Even in the Justice line of figures (also based on Alex Ross art), there was still an inconsistency.

They have a new History of the DCU line -- loosely based off of Perez artwork -- that will reuse body parts -- ensuring a consistent scale.

But that scale will be big -- 6.5 to 7 inches, I believe.
