Welcome to the Real Estate offices of Ester, Cobaltus, Greybird, Jectra and Spiffany. During the last year, the constant incoming funds of the Triumvirs, the large family fortune of the Spiffanys and the massive royal heirloom of the Psyionian Royal family has been used to buy up very large portions of property on Legion World, to help increase commerce and industrialization on this new place we call home.

As there is now little to no land left that has not been bought up, we five major land-owners are combining our resources to open up this Real Estate firm as a place where Legion Worlders can come and purchase land. Our combined fortunes, both monetary and in terms of land, will continue to be used for the benefit of Legion World and its economy.

Those who already own establishments: do not worry, you still retain all your ownership and this does not concern you. We are concerned with the land that has yet to be tapped into and industrialized, which the five of us have begun (and become close to) purchasing the majority of.

If you would like to purchase this land, please come by our offices and place an application to do so. We will also put you in contact with Eryk Davis Ester’s construction company which will build it for you. Greybird, who controls the transportation on Legion World, and Cobalt Kid and Princess Crujectra, who control the Legion World Banks, will gladly assist in any way they can as well, by approving loans for the construction of future properties.

We proudly open our doors to you, citizens of Legion World, and to the further industrialization of Legion World and continuing growth of a strong Legion World economy.

Re: Your role in the Real Estate Company

Tiffany,

Even though you are still enrolled at Mayavale University, your presence on Legion World represents the family fortune of the Spiffanys, and thus their role on Legion World. With this in mind, I’d like to offer you a chance to more proactive in the involvement in this firm.

If you’d like, I can use my connections at Mayavale University to see if I can get you a business internship working at this office. You can make your own schedule as you please, and really get a grasp of how the business works. If you don’t want to do this, no problems.

Le me know.

Thanks,

Cobalt Kid

So is this a "Wolfram & Hart"-like Law Office?

Crue, what's this big heirloom, CK's talking about? Sounds like a hopped up Hope diamond or something.

I'd ask how "massive" that could be, but I've heard about your legendary bosom. [Big Grin]

Our lawyer, Quislet, Esq., handles all the legal transactions.

We pay him in virile young warriors that look like Captain Marvel Jr. and are at his beck and call every time he says "SHAZAM!"

I should mention that the offices of Statues, Buildings and Wonderous Architecture Construction Co. have actually moved to a location adjoining The Real Estate Offices of Ester, Greybird, Cobaltus, Jectra, and Spiffany, for the convenience of our customers.

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

Excellent Eryk, I was hoping you'd do that.

The First National Bank of Legion World is located right next to our Real Estate offices on the other side. My employees there tell me that they're already calling this area the 'Super Business section of Space' these days.

Y'know, there used to be a guy called Troy, Esq. who posted to racdl. I know he lived in Phoenix because I met him when I lived there. I keep wondering of Quislet, Esq. is the same person, even though I see he lives on the East Coast. Anyone know...like Quislet?

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

F-boy, I'm not positive, but I think they might be different people. Maybe Quis can see this and confirm if I'm right.

BTW, it looks like our profits are rising more rapidly than I thought!

Posted by Semi Transparent Fellow on :

I think Troy was that poster's real name. Quis' real name isn't Troy.

It would be my pleasure to work here, Cobalt Kid. As you well know, I have my own reasons for wanting to spend more time here.

OK, Sir Cobaltus, I'm interested in some property. I intend to open my own dry cleaning business.

This has "offshore banking business" written all over it.

Posted by ferroboy on :

I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about.

Posted by DivineOpalJanell on :

I need to set up a business, and I need a prime piece of real estate to buy. I employ your services.

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

There's an excellent piece of property that would be perfect for you, Cramey. Overlooking the waterfront and everything, and fairly secluded too.

Opal and Ferroboy, I also have plenty available for you both too. Would you like to be closer to the rapidly growing business district, or somewhere a little more domestic.

And just to remind you--you can apply for a loan at the First Bank of Legion World (owned by Crujeckie and I), and then can hire EDE's construction company to erect your buildings.

Posted by DivineOpalJanell on :

I need no loan or construction company on a nice land in the heart of the business district.

Location, Loaction!

I know very well Tiffany, and I'm glad to be able to provide you with another chance at entrepenuership on Legion World. Combined with "Breakfast at Tiffany's", this should give you plenty to keep busy with here (in between handsome young men calling on you, I'm sure).

It sounds like we have a deal, Opal! I'm glad to help, and I'm sure my partners will all approve of this sale. May I ask what you have planned there?

Posted by DivineOpalJanell on :

Nope. All you need to know is that I'm willing to pay a small fortune for it.

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

Yup, that's all I need to know!

Besides, if it really was ever trouble, I'd be stopping by as Security Chief anyway.

And even more besides, I'm going to ask you out on a date once this whole chastity thing ends [Wink]

Posted by DivineOpalJanell on :

You can't. I'm your client, which means I employ you, which makes you my employee and that means I'm your boss, any relations outside of friendship and business are against the law until the deal has been finalized.

Jeepers! But I'm also *you're* boss at the Security Office!

Luckily, my lawyer Quislet, Esq. can work out all of the details for me to keep me out of trouble. Besides, I know all of the LW judges pretty well after being Security Chief for so long...

You? My boss? My mother worked for you, and she quit, I am a laison from Avalon, I work with you for peace, not for you. You sure are cute the way you're trying to dominate me.

Memo

To: EGCJ&S employees and partners
From: Greybird
CC: Quislet, Esq., General Counsel
Subj: Air and Mineral Rights

Please keep in mind, when negotiating all contracts for land sales, that they should only include the rights to the airspace reaching to the top of the planned structure. Or, if no structure is yet planned, to the height of a normal single-family dwelling.

Also, all mineral rights are reserved and are not sold unless specified, and a separate payment is negotiated. With $60-per-barrel oil looming, we don't want to give up that potential income!

I think about things like air rights, folks. I spend most of my time in the air, after all.

~ Greyus Birdboyus, Triumvir / General Partner ~

I'll be blunt about this deal, this building will be about 20-25 stories high. It with encompass about 500 sq. feet.

No need to worry about air pollution, this isn't a factory. I will probably have a chopter landing on the roof. As for oil I won't be digging up the ground. I do need to own it, so when you figure how much I have to pay to get this real estate, let me know.

Do we have some zoning laws in place?

I want full airspace and resource rights, with a 200-mile limit out from the low water mark. It's for the Legion World nature preserve.

Posted by DivineOpalJanell on :

What a good cause Fat Cramer, they have tendency to charge a lot due to the fluctuations of the market nowadays, so if you need a finicial backer, of screw it, just take this check, if you need more then seven zeroes let me know.

My apologies, Opal. I see so much of your mother in you that I must have thought you were her for a brief minute. I...*sniff*...miss her a lot.

And working with me for peace is a far more important point than who is whose boss. Well said.

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

Grey- excellent point, and one that we should keep in mind. I think you're expertise will be greatly appreciated in all matters where this is concerned.

FC- that sounds very doable. And the fact that it is for such a good cause gives me reason to push this deal through quicker.

A general note to the LW community- as many of you are aware, there are vast farming reserves throughout LW. As a co-owner of most (well, now anyway), I pledge to keep large quantities as farming reserves, to ensure that our supply of food never diminishes, and the role of farmers in our economy remains strong.

Posted by Fat Cramer on :

I applaud your support of the farming community and (one trusts) of local food, Cobalt - and I'm gratified to learn that you'll be fast-tracking my real estate transaction.

I'm going to call it "The Island of Dr. Crameau". Unfortunately, it will have to remain off-limits to members for some time, until we stabilize the life-forms.

My Dear Cobalt,

I wonder if your fine establishment could make the necessary arrangements for the purchase and fitting out of two establishments.

The first is a small residence for myself and my bodyguard of Varangians for those occasions I need to overnight on LW.

The second is a Foreign Office. We need somewhere for the visiting dignatories to attend and present their credentials. It can also act as issuing office for visitor permits, visas, and permissions. I am sure that the fees and charges from these activities will be useful to the Government of Legion World.

Posted by ferroboy on :

Cobie, I need something domestic, so I can be closer to the people I serve. Also, I'll need that loan and EDE's help with construction.

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

FC, that sounds interesting, and I look forward to hearing more about it. Will there be 'science experiments' going on there? (Or is it all hush-hush?)

Far, both plots of land seem doable. A foreign office seems like an especially good idea, and you might be able to get it subsidized by the government since it'll be so important to them. As you well know, we both own vast estates throughout the cosmos in the lands we've conquered, but rarely get to venture out to those estates since we're always on the move conquering more.

Ferro, I'll send you the paperwork for the loans, and I'm sure EDE will get right on it, once we secure a plot of land for you.

A good business day here folks!

Cobie, I need a floating home with a floating yard and pool. Ideally it should float about 0.5-1.0 km above the ground, should have climate control (the cold and winds can get nasty up there if not managed properly) and should have it's own propulsion system. Twelve rooms should suffice.

Is there anything suitable available?

Posted by DivineOpalJanell on :

Update, I need to establish this building yesterday. My deadline has been bumped. Get this deal done as quick as you can and somebody is getting a holiday bonus.

Posted by Re-AniMiner on :

Man, at these prices, I'm glad I've got the Chicken Heart.

Posted by Fat Cramer on :

As long as it's ever-expanding, you could start your very own land speculation bubble!

Posted by Semi Transparent Fellow on :

Must be a seller's market right now, because these real estate agents aren't exactly on the ball. Here I am, a willing buyer with cash in hand, and they haven't gotten back to me. Maybe they need some competition.

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

Opal, done. Tell me if you think this price is reasonable.

FC, you're also all set. Sign here and the land is yours, and you won't have to worry about interference from anyone from here on in.

Semi, not to worry, I have the paper work all drawn up. In fact, I plan on taking you out to lunch today for our 'official meeting'. Still interested?

Posted by Semi Transparent Fellow on :

Sure, Cafe Cramer for the arctic char and chardonnay?

Posted by Fat Cramer on :

Cobie, how come you're the only one who's ever in the office?

Thanks for all your work, though. You've got my signature and I'm getting right to business. I just hope Dr. Juan gets back from India soon to help with all that genetic gobbledygook.

Posted by Cobalt Kid on :

Well, we all run our own businesses on the side, but I've put Stoopid Cat's terresact to good use so I can get back and forth from here and the Security Office and my bedroom at Stu's mansion as quick as possible. Crujeckie is usually giving speeches at major LW functions and EDE is currently brokering a new deal with an important client. Grey works best when he's flying in the sky, so the skies of LW are kinda his office anyways--we just gave him one out of a formality.

Usually it's just Tiffany and myself here holding down the fort. I'm thinking of getting a receptionist here. Any suggestions? I was considerig Jinx, since I'm a firm believer in hiring alt IDs and Felines.

And FC, knowing Dr. Juan is going to be involved has peaked my curiousity!

Semi, Cafe Cramer sounds like the perfect place for a lunch.

Posted by DivineOpalJanell on :

That's it. And I thought it was going to cost, here you go.

I should be more attentive to the office as soon as I finished the move to Legion World.
