T-Wolf White was very suspicious of the Gorilla when he finally joined them in the cave.

Glorion could see him sniff the air in the way one might sniff a Centaurs paddock. The Princess was graciously making introductions while the Eclipsed Spirit slipped behind the small black man's back.

well, that's two of us who would rather not being doing this right now

Glorion silently agreed. The Wolf had quite obviously just sniffed at the Princess and pointedly stared at Glorion.

'Oh Great Mu! He can smell the Truthspeak spell'
Glorion had a sudden wave of exhaustion as the realisation him.

The Princess motioned for them all leave and Glorion fell close behind her as she walked to the small cave mouth.

Glorion wondered what his Director, The Many Exaulted Cloud of Eternal Reason, would say when he eventually got back to the Shining Spires on Heliotrope City. 'Endangering a foolish mission', 'unauthorised Necromancy', 'unlawful use of Mind Magic on a bloody UP Diplomat', Glorion knew that with a little help from his enchanted hitchhiker he could be away and they'd never find him... actually that wasn't true, he realised, the wolf could actually scent Magic!

He would follow these two Technocrats to the surface then see what was to happen there. He was too tired to worry right now.

On the edge of his vision he could see a rippling motion in the many shadows of the cave, it was following him, he was sure.

It was easier to return to the surface than Glorion expected, but then the lonely journey down had been into unknown territory. This trip back along the caveways was being guided for him by a glowing 21st Century goddess with a muscle bound Meta human Techocrat sniffing suspiciously right behind him and the shadow formed newly released Talokean Planetary Champion at his side. He suspected his mind wasn't really taking in his surrounds with as much attention this time.

Nearly thirty minutes later they were greeted by Wolf Red while Blue stood watch at the entrance to the cave up ahead.

After a silent exchange along the Telepathways Red smiled and held out his hand:

"Hi there man, welcome to the Happy Society"

It really didn't help matters that it was at this exact point that the Talokean Tribesmen rose from their hiding places in the caves and began to attack.

The Princess and the Wolfs protectively stood around Glorion and Blue leapt into the middle with them, his arms up and palms pointing outwards, the universal stance of peaceful intent.

"We mean you no disrespect" "Enough of this guys, we're not the enemy y'know!" "If We could talk to your leaders We would be able to resolve this peacefully" "Stop! We don't mean any harm"

The Legionaires slowly moved out towards the armoured Tribesmen, each repeating their phrase as they stepped forward with compass point precision.

Within a literal second of the spear flying at Blue the fight was over. The Princess had stepped into infrared form and the tribesmen had been felled there and then.

"Freckin' Hard Princess!!" Red punched the air triumphantly. She gave him a quick smile before reaching down to the Tribesman at her feet, lifting him by the smouldering scarf around his neck until his toes only just touched the cave floor..

"Now, as We said earlier if you could point out who your leader is We'd much rather end this in a peaceful dialogue"

Her green eyes shone with determination. For an incredibly long three seconds the Tribesman looked as if he would resist her. Lowering his head he pointed to a heavily armoured woman twiching on the ground some twenty feet away, smoke trickling out of the neck of her archaic Pizotech waist coat.

From out of the air around the fallen woman the light seems to dim and a figure coalesces into a mockery of the humanoid form. The arms, neck and torso seem stretched and twisted into almost surreal proportions, the legs forming a single fading stalk below the shadowy vision.

Glorion turns to Blue and Red as they turn to see this manifistation. Smiling for the first time in hours he says:

"oh did I forget to introduce you? Meet Eljasa Mallor, the Planetary Shadow Champion"

Glorion was secretly pleased that the senses of T- Wolf, though alarmingly accurate enough to recognise sorcery, had missed the Eclipsed Spirit in this part of the cave. He must have sensed her in the Gemcave Glorion reasoned but thought she was an extention of whatever spell Gorion had cast.

" Not everyone is lucky enough to have an enchanted house guest in their belly Glorion, who happens to specialise in hiding and finding the hidden " the dryness of the scarabs sudden thought made Glorion want to laugh out loud yet the look on the Wolf's faces and the sudden silence from the tribesmen stopped him.

Most of this arm of the Galaxy had heard of the reverence that the Talokean held their ancestors and the Tribe with one of the longest and most illustrious histories were the Mallors. The lineage of this Clan had over the centuries gained an almost god-like staus amongst the survivors of first the Black Shazam Occupation then the Grand Invaders.

As the figure seemed to spin itself out of the shadows around the cave and gain a solidity about itself the tribesmen who were in any kind of fit state were on their knees, faces pushed into the sand in front of them. Blue and White were checking the unconcious warriors, ripping off any clothing that were still burning and giving basic battlefield medical treatment to any that needed it. Glorion was impressed and, not for the first time, he wished he had easier access to up to date Tecnocrat information technology.

Reaching into the front pouch on his belt for the Scarab of Rememberance Glorion absorbed the moment for storage and replay later when he had to give a lecture in front of the Many Headed Choir when the next semester started. His philosophy class would eat up every single second of this and it would provide one more log of the intellectual pyre that was the traditional "Are Technocrats Truly Civilised" debate.

The Princess had approached the newly formed figure and was watching from only a few feet away as the dark shape bent over the obviously terrified woman and said in a barely heard voice:

"We have need of your skill Tribeswoman Trenis, join your tribe with the memory of mine so we both can see our planets survival and regrowth"

The terrified woman did as every other Talokean present and threw herself down face first, postrate before the swirling figure of Dark field energies.

Dreahhgart - The Home System of God's Great Electric Starsailors.

Truths, Legends and other accounts.

An essay by Serlm Opra of the University of NuEarth, Alhemonth 21 3276

Dreahhgart was thought of as a myth until the late 29th century when a party of Imskian Dragon hunters managed to return from their reconnisance mission from the then Khund controlled section of the Upper Schwarz Cluster. Their claims of finding the birthing system of the incredibly rare Kenroshi, themselves thought of by most as a legend, was mostly dismissed by the general populace. The following season the Dragon hunters returned there and, with an unfortunate loss of two thirds of their crew this time, returned with some specific AI backed co-ordinates and footage of the system.

The small blue star was already known to have three Jovian class gas giants and a large asteroid field and it was only because of it's proximity to a Khund trading lane that Mankind never gave it more than a second glance.

The Kenroshi Starsailors were known to prefer solitude amongst the dark spaces between the stars, have an almost cosmic awareness of their surroundings and to be able to alter their enviroments with a thought. There were a few incidents where unscrupulous starship captains would spot one of this ancient race and try to capture, or in ridiculously stupid cases, try to kill one. We know now, after the Avatar Ambassador's open account of her race's recent history that these ships have been reduced to a simple molecular structure. Helium or Hydrogen normally.

The Race's long history is second only to the Oans, and as such they are known to many many races throughout a large swathe of the Galaxy. It has even been suggested that the angel myths of old earth should be attributed to them. If there was anything humanoid about them then this would hold more weight but as they look like three foot long orange cones covered by sensory nodules at seemingly random intervals with dozens of muscular tendril swaying out from their broad base end all wrapped in Aurora like shimmering electric wings it is severely doubtful.

Their actual process of reproduction was open to much debate and speculation until the Avatar Ambassador confirmed that they are asexual - releasing their spores into a very specific area much like coral or fungus. The Ambassador has also confirmed that her race take many decades or even centuries to reach adulthood circling Dreahhgart in long streams with their brethren until the 'Calling of the Great Nowhere' is heard. The exact mechanism behind this was not elaborated upon.

During the Faux Truce of 3137 the Khunds gave much of their data on that sector of space to the UP and it is of great interest to note that their only comment made about this remarkable system is "not worth the bother".

"Oh get on with it, we're waiting!"

Snaiha Patel never forget her roots on the Number One plantation satellite in the Imsk system, Strivastava Iv.

After being succesfully genetically altered to contain the volatile Leviathon Gene she had never returned, not even on the few days she'd had any time unmonitored, and was glad of that!

Living as Mega of the Leviathons had opened her eyes to a completely new existance and she would choose to stay with this new life over anything that the rain bleary skies of Stinky Strivastava Iv had to offer, thanks anyway.

And despite all she had undergone, all she had fought for still all she could hear was her older brother's taunt from nearly twenty years ago: "Oh get on with it!"

She had long since reconciled with Shrija but still his taunts came back to whisper to her whenever she was nervous. And right now, watching Commander Hor Elli, Commander Cruiser as the AllWorld Media dubbed him, of the Daxam Prime Fleet give evidence in the court martial case against Dak Sacchev she had an anxious energy brewing in her stomach that was threatening to spread to her legs and arms and take out of this Shipside Courtroom as fast as was physically possible. The fact that the defendant had yet to awaken from his 8 day long coma made this all the more pathetic in Snaiha's eyes.

As she listened to Commander Cruiser she realised that the thoughts she was having for Cruiser were moving beyond the purely professional. She realised that in the 20 years since she had first been told that she may have an escape from the tedium of her home farmstead that she had never once felt as attracted to anyone as she did to the decorated war hero of the Daxam Fleet stood parade ground erect in the dock right now.

Damn but the man had the most incredible eyes!

She listened as he recounted approaching the Dreahhgart Star System with the Kenroshi Ambassador, Avatar, and Dak Sacchev, the Blackstar.

How the attacking Grand Invader fleet seemed to be split between the third Jovian class gas giant, Jirll, and what he learned was the solar ring of Kenroshi young, though at that point not knowing of the Kenroshi life cycle, he assumed was a minor asteroid belt close to the dreahhgart Star.

Dak sacchev chose to confront the Invaders at Jirll. The Avatar and Cruiser went to defend the Solar ring around Dreahhgart.

Avatar called them the "Life Stream" he said.

Mega knew at that moment that she was falling in love with the man.

Mega is so rapt watching Commander Cruiser that she doesn't turn around like most of the people present when she hears Sister Paragon stand up abruptly and storm out of the courtroom.

Commander Cruiser had finally bit back at the snide baiting from the EarthGov Councillor.

"Sister Paragon's comment about Dak Sacchev being a loose cannon holds no weight what so ever in my opinion, she has lived a woefully sheltered life in the Thermyscira Sphere and then never travelling out of Sol Space without it being on official business. She has no real life experience from which to justify her attack on Sacchev."

Mega had to fight the urge to cheer.

The Coluan Adjudicator brought the testimony back on track very quickly after that as the air in the court seemed to crackle with a new found energy. After two days of testimony, all of it slated against the being who single handedly destroyed a large fleet of the Grand Invader, Mega knew that there were some opinions that would not be called to witness as they were not the official line. Her own for instance. As far as she can see they were in a war zone and as any good warrior will tell you, War is Hell. The ignition of the planetary core of Jirll, the gas giant that the Invaders were plundering was a last ditch attempt to destroy an enemy fleet, at great personal expence one must add! Dak Sacchev had given the Dreahhgart system a second sun, and in the process the resulting radiation flares destroyed several million of the Grand Invaders needle attack ships and several centuries of the Life stream, the many space bouyed young of the Kenroshi Starsailors.

As much as she was deeply horrified by the tragic loss of so many truly innocent she was realistic enough to know, if not actually expect, there were always casualties in war.

Cruiser was describing the long fight he had to create a safe haven for a pocket of the Kenroshi young against the millions of the deadly needle attack ships. How he smashed so many of the small ships together he was able to create a shield of sorts against their energy weapons that had helped him protect a a few hundred of the young, how he had eventually taken to simply throwing the carcasses of each ship he smashed with his own hands into the approaching horde.

How the few hundred Kenroshi adults present at that point in the system were slowly faltering against the seemingly endless invaders; They could each transmute hundreds or even thousands of the small deadly invading ships, but all it took was one to slip through their stretched awarenesses and they would die quickly.

How the radiation from the Kenroshi's Blue sun was not as nurturing to his Daxam solar powered physiology as a yellow sun so after what was approximately three hours of this relentless attack he was tiring when the system was rocked by Jirll's powerful eruption.

He admitted to being afraid that Dak Sacchev would have been killed by this massive explosion.

And he admitted how releaved he was when Ambassador Avatar went to find, and then returned with the unconcious Sacchev half an hour later.

He also admitted to crying then.

ALLWORLD MEDIA, THE NOVAE NEWS, EDITORIAL, CURRENT AFFAIRS SPECIALIST V'NITCH UJIBBLA COMMENTS

Rumours abound of the first sign of dissention within the ranks of the newly reformed Legion today after Sister Paragon walked out of the closed Courtroom in the case of the UP against General Dak Sacchev, the much feared Blackstar.

Although she refused to give a comment for the waiting Eyespys and public she did stop to give a few scent samples and even a ret-print to a lucky fan.

Her colleague, Snaiha Patel, Mega of the Imsk Leviathons was overheard earlier in the day saying to an unnamed aquaintence that she feared for Sacchev's future with the group after learning who the courts choice of witnesses would be.

Here at the Novae Newsroom we fear for the future of the entire group as their recent exploits do not install much hope for the supposed "Best Chance for Galactic Freedom".

We would like to respectfully remind Mega who exactly she has a team mates ;

Kord Das, the Harbinger, has hardly lived up to his much hyped reputation as a leader that can do no wrong. Has his precognition somehow missed he death of a Green Lantern and the destruction of a planetary system? Is he too focussed on the publicity and prestigue he could garner to worry about such matters? And there are rumours, though we do not necessarily agree, that his so-called Great Unifying Vision wasd a hoax he planned to generate support for his desperate suicidal bid for interstellar fame. And we must question his wisdom in sending a Daxamite, a race not exactly famed for their species tolerance, to a system inhabitted by non-humanoids as part of a "rescue mission".

Keed Luorssen, the Triple wolf of Carggg has been just below the AllWorlds Media radar for so long that there's a scent of suspicion so thick it's cloying in the office! At least one third of this acrobatic former star of the Carggg wrestling circuit turned Peoples Planetary Protector has been linked with so many partners now that it's hard to tell if he ever has time to perform any other duties. And if that's only one of the three then we must ask that if all sane Cargggite bodies share the same personality traits then what are the other two doing that even the free Press can't get acces to them?

Sister Paragon, although having very little experience out of the Sol System has at least served with the Sol defence Force for nearly two years without being directly involved in any major. We must add, given the current list of scandals coming from that region of Free space, "Yet".

The Imskian Mega herself is hardly one to throw stones about the rights of freedom as we have direct footage of her actions resulting in the destruction of a peaceful Braal Counter Inteligence Post in the Droiggmaho Asteroid Feild, a region in the Neutral Buffer Zone between the two warring systems.

Dak Sacchev's exploits could give a Gov AI nightmares. This supposed Hero of The People has bullied and terrorised this arm of the Milky Way for over two centuries now and seems to think that as he has the might of a black hole he is as beyond civilised law as one. It is sad in our eyes that he is still unconcious after the terrible explosion he caused in the Dreaahhgart system, if only because he is not aware of the depth of sentiment that has arisen against him and his power hungry co-horts.

In this office's views the only one of the Legions currrent members that we would trust to be in a confined space with would be the Tamaran Princess of the Wandering Stars. She is, in our opinion, the only one worthy of the title "Hero". It is unfortunate that she is away on a mission to the Talokean Systen with the Triple Wolf at present as her level headed prescence would definitely have helped the poor Dreahhgart system.

Sentient, I would like to congradulate you on your excellent work. Your vision of the future is both enlightening and disturbing. Are you of Naltorian decent? If you are, would you consent to an interview with the Future Affairs Division of the Science Police?

Your vision may make a very highly entertaining read, but the events which lead up to your storyline should be prevented if at all possible.

Please contact me as soon as possible!

All was not well in the city of Greentown as after four days of the most one sided blatantly biased speculated courtroom action ever witnessed by most of the Human Arm of the Milky Way, through the warped lense that is the free Press of the Twelve Worlds Web and the allWorld Media Group there were calls for a summary execution for all Legion staff and allies by the lunatic fringes, votes for banishment, stipping of assetts and even public torture, the beings watching every entrance and exit from the sealed courtroom had to gasp when Kord Das turned up in full length Naltori Seer Ceremonial Garb with the Kenroshi Ambassador Avatar at his side on the fifth day.

The crowds in the already overfull city of Greentown went ballistic.
