Did not drink on 12/17, but BOY DID I on Thu, 12/16!!!! Bought pitchers and pitchers of PBR for my friends while I had Jack&Coke. Sang some crazy karaoke - my big number - a CHURCHY version of "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me." Brought it! Tried to be useless on Friday, but too much to do.

Went to a "Completed 1600 Hours of Cosmetology" party for a friend. Started with Jack&Coke, switched to an excellent Margarita (rock, salt on half the rim) then had a Bombay Sapphire Martini. Party moved to a different bar about 20 minutes away, had a drink called the "Warhead" which tastes just like the candy, but BELIEVE me, it has alcohol in it! Had a couple of those. Stopped drinking but then somebody gave me a beer.

I tore it up Weds. night but I believe that will be my last time until (maybe) New Years Eve.
I'm going to have to conserve funds better starting now so partying 1 or 2 nights a week is the easiest cut to make.
It will be hard to completely stop going out (I don't drink unless I am going out, ever), but maybe once every 2 weeks I could.

The state of the liquor cabinet at chez_cleome is pitable right now. No bourbon, no rum, and barely enough tequila and Triple Sec for tonight's margaritas. (Two per person, maybe. No more.) Maybe a few fingers worth of vodka in the freezer, but I'm not really in a vodka mood right now.
If the Administration can't afford to keep the masses drunk on something that actually tastes good, it will have nobody to blame but itself when we revolt en masse.
