Gary and Scott, We just lost all the posts at SHAKES between November 26 and January 2. I didn't delete them. STU and Cobie and Abinquank and I were posting. Any ideas?

Also, a couple of minutes earlier, one of the posts I made to this thread just disappeared. I didn't delete it myself, and none of the moderators for the MMB deleted it either.
Don't know if that's related or not.

Could be we are having trouble with the MMB like we had in the past. I've rebuilt the stat files twice now and it has not restored the posts. Not sure where they went or what, if anything, can be done to recover them. Maybe Gary can give us some more insight.

I just downloaded the cgi file and those posts are not there. No error stopping them, they don't exist. I haven't done a back-up this week but maybe Gary has. If not I'm afraid the posts are lost to the ages.

Gary, maybe we ought to set up a back up schedule between the two of us. With my cable modem it doesn't take long. I just need to remind myself more often to do it.

How about we take it week by week then? That sound fair?
Starting Monday, I'll do the back-up for the next seven days, on a nightly basis. I'm assuming you just back up the cgi files for the forums. Anything else?

Members folder. The updated files in the cgi-bin (the calendar/games etc.) I download anything new from my last back up. For example, if my computer files say Dec. 23rd, then I download anything since then.
Forum's 1 and 4 (Legion & MMB) get done every other day. The rest get backed up when I'm not doing those forums.

I should say except for now. I'm doing bits and pieces since I haven't backed up for a week or so.

Okay. I'll do a full back up, including images (Avatars and the image folder) on Monday so I have a full copy of the site. Then I'll just do the updated files every night from that. Shouldn't take too long with my access.
