Just a thank-you for implementing this feature, now at the foot of every page of a thread. It makes archiving a thread FAR easier. For those who haven't seen what it does, give it a try.
You can, as well as printing the topic, save the results as either a text file or an HTML file. It displays IMG-tag graphics, and smilies that are part of the text, but not Webpage function icons or avatars.
It puts the WHOLE topic posted thus far on one Webpage, no matter what page of the topic you choose it from. And that's true even for all of a topic such as "SHAKES" Archive 1, for I tried it. It took about 5 or 6 minutes to load all those thousands of messages, but UBB did it. (I wanted to see if my browser would crash with so much text in one window. You need to know those limits.)

I think it would be a good idea to put the "printer friendly" link at the top of the page, too. Sometimes it takes forever for the full page to download over my dial-up account (what with the avatars and all), but if I had access to the link at the top of the page, then I could just hit the stop button on my browser and then hit the link instead of waiting for the page to load. Maybe I'm the only one with this problem, but it can be frustrating as hell waiting for the full page to load, especially when it pauses in the middle of a post. It'd make the link easier to see, too.
Maybe directly across from the "UBBFriend" link?

Hmmm...I don't have control of where the link appears, the software places it at the bottom.
quote:Allow printer-friendly topic view? Enabling this feature will allow users to view a printer-friendly view of any topic on the board. The link to the printer-friendly view will be located at the bottom of the topic page.
I can only turn it on or off.
If the avatars are a problem for you though, may I suggest turning them off in your profile. It's the last option at the bottom.
