I was just at Wal-Mart's web site, and I was pricing compact stereos with 5-disk CD changers. The sad thing is that I was thinking of buying it for my cubicle at work.

Now, mind you, I have a perfectly serviceable boombox on my desk. It sounds ok... nothing fancy. This new system, however, would basically let me put in music for the whole day. Plus it has speakers that are detached, so I can put them in different corners of the cubicle, thereby enhancing my listening experience. AND it has a full remote control!

I think perhaps I'm getting a little too comfortable here [Confused]

Heck, no--- BUY it, I say--- if you HAVE to be at work you might as well be as happy as possible being there... right?

Too true, Lashie Poo. And it's not as though I was pricing TV sets or anything. I can just sneak into a customer lounge if I wanna watch TV [Wink]

I'll more than likely buy it if they have it in my town's Wal-Mart [Smile]

On a semi-related note... it looks more than likely like I will be going BACK to work myself tomorrow... power's back on there but all the computers are down right now...

Here I am stuck at work, managing 20 employees, posting on the Legion board and wishing I were home in a hot tub.

Hey Danny! Nice to see someone else from Cincinnati here! If you don't mind my asking, where do you work?

I have a feeling anyone in the top five (or ten) club on this board doesn't spend *too* much time actually working [Wink] . For my part, I'm freelance and work maybe 30 hours a week. Sometimes I work at home which means I post here when I take breaks.

I used to work, a lot. With lots of monotonous travel, nowhere exotic.

Now I don't work at all. Life is a whole lot better, but I can't afford CD changers. Or travel. My choice. I'm glad I stopped working.

For US Bank, I manage a group of customer service reps.

I work out by Lunken Airport. Of course, I live in western hills...

working is such a waste of valuable free time, if it weren't for the pay, hilarious office politics, total satisfaction and gorgeous post man on my floor I'd quit already!

I won't pass judgment until you try to run a hammock across your cubie... [Wink]

My job has had a lot of monotonous travel recently -- usually spent in windowless storage rooms somewhere moving boxes around.

But occasionally it has its perks -- such as being able to meet some cool fellow LMBPers...! [Big Grin]

So when you coming back, Stuey??? Next time, we'll round up Cobie, too. HOPEfully, he'll leave the Homecoming Queen outfit in mothballs... [Wink]

Well some of us just don't sleep. I work 50 hours a week, roughly, and spend another 20+ with Caroline taking care of her parents. But once our house is finished things will be easier on all of us.

I'll try not to hold that against you. [Wink]

I used to work for West One before it became US Bank. I left after US Bank took over and the manager started blaming the employess for theft when he was the one doing it. When he came to accusing me (I ran the vault and the tellers) I told him he better have some good evidence or I would see his ass in jail and sued for false accusations. After he quit, I don't know if he was eventually arrested or not, I left. I just couldn't work there anymore. It was the best career move I made.
