Bea Arthur was one you felt would always be around. I don't think she looked like she aged a day since the 70s really. She will be missed and well-remembered.

I remember watching Maude in reruns late at night and thinking she was the just coolest lady. And although I wasn't really a regular Golden Girls viewer during it's original run, I've seen more than a enough episodes since then to realize what a gifted actress and stellar comedienne she truly was.
