Is anyone going?Any plans for a meetup?

Posted by Quislet, Esq. on :

I think Sacrasm Lad is going to be there on Friday and Rhino will be there Saturday. Check out the Next Gathering thread in the Mission Monitor forum.

Ken, I am going to ask that this thread be merged with the Next Gathering thread.

Posted by Sarcasm Kid on :

I'm gonna be at BIG APPLE Con on Friday only.

I hope to be all three days for NY. But... I have to be there early because of my professional pass. Very, very early.

Posted by lil'rhino on :

I'll be there on Saturday!! Would love to meet you & anybody else who's going!
BTW Ken, I sent you a friend request on FB, as did Lash!

Posted by Sarcasm Kid on :

I mean at 8:30. For this, like, breakfast for the other professionals. You know, the writers and artists.

Posted by Sarcasm Kid on :

Dangit! It just figures J.T. Krul had to be at NY this year. It's gonna make things awkward.

Posted by lil'rhino on :

Dangit! Stan Lee's gonna be there. It's gonna make things very awkward for me!

Posted by MLLASH on :

For extra akwardness, Sarc, you should present JT Krull with a list of the ways his writing could be improved!

And Rhino, be sure to tell Stan Lee he looks a lot older in person.

Posted by lil'rhino on :

Bah!! He knows exactly how I feel about him!

Posted by Sarcasm Kid on :

That's not exactly what I'm gonna bring there, but it'll make things just as awkward (it's nothing that's gonna bash him or anything).

Posted by Sarcasm Kid on :

Any suggestions to what I should do for the inevitable meeting between myself and Krul?

Posted by Quislet, Esq. on :

How about you just be polite? Where is it written that you have to have an extended conversation with him?

Posted by Sarcasm Kid on :

Well... I don't mean like if I should mouth off to him.

But there is something I hope to do in terms of that movement, and it might come up that I'll have to do a lot of convincing. I did send e-mails to him with my own little critiques on Rise.

Posted by Chief Taylor on :

Like what? Give him a copy of "Writing for Dummies"? [Big Grin]

Do we have a picture of him? If they think he's cute, maybe Rhino and Lash could FLIRT with him! That'd show him! [Yes]

Worry not, I'll be all over it!!

Posted by lil'rhino on :

BTW, although I will bring along my Minty Fresh wig, I won't be wearing it unless the Javitz center has decent air conditioning.

Posted by Eryk Davis Ester on :

So, what happens when J.T. Krul meets Stan Lee?

Posted by lil'rhino on :

What happens when rhino meets Yildiray Cinar??

I'm pretty sure the above pic confirms at least three or four of my long-held theories about rhino!

Posted by Pov on :

1) That he's a Saudi oil baron

2)That he ROCKs the turban

3)That he really DOES love everybody, and even Duhbya was next!

Posted by Sarcasm Kid on :

Well, the reason I ask is because, um, if things go as well as I hope they do at NY, Lian might be coming back.

Sarc, I'm certain that after a night of rhino-lovin', Krul will be much more open to hearing your case for Lian!

Should Rhino have love children with both?!? (And does Rhino or does Rhino not have the sex magic to impregnate a man? We need to determine if a surrogate is necessary! Hell, does Rhino even want a love child he can name "Lian"? If so, would he be willing to name his love child Lian even if it's a boy? Or would he have him undergo a sex change? [Confused] )

You watched that show?
Dude, I was a kid, and this was before cable! I watched what my mom watched! Fuck, that show was depressing in hindsight! (I think Albert or somebody may have started the fire accidentally! [Shudder] )
You're using the Mommy defense. I call a BS Foul...I watched exactly 1/2 hour of that show...and never saw another minute of it again. I honestly think it was the fire episode too. It just struck me as being depressing as hell and I could never understand why anyone liked it.

[Embarrassed] Well, I used to like country music and Huey Lewis and the News, too. I grew out of it. Gimme a break!

Jeepers! I don't want it that bad!
(Dude, have a replica made! Rhino'd be keeping him too busy for him to have it authenticated! And since Rhino's apparently not looking to procreate with him, Rhino can leave him a false cell number. He'd never be able to find Rhino--or you--again! So you'd have that righteous shirt, and he'd have a useless replica nelly hat! All of this assuming Rhino doesn't want to see him again, of course. If that happens, we'll do that other plan. You know the one involving Great Caesar's Ghost?)

Just pretend you're a cos-player (or whatever the term is) dressing up as EDE and say "Jeepers!" like every other word. He'd never believe the real EDE would say "Jeepers!" that much, right?

And if all else fails...kick him in the shin and run!

Hmm... given the number of people who dress up like me at these things, this might be plausible!
