I just saw a profile on an American skier who trains in one of the alpine European countries. When she won some competition of other, she was gifted with a cow. (It was expected that she'd give it back to the donor in exchange for $$, but she decided to keep the cow, who had daughters and now grandcalves-- all kept at a farm where Olympic American skiers train-- I really like this girl, now).
What's that got to do with Streaky or Comet?
Not much, but I *do* think that a less Kryptocentric LSP could realistically be formed by gifts like what I described. I think the Legionnaires would get tons of similar gifts from grateful populaces wherever they saved lives, property, etc.
Could there be a LSP that didn't have Krypto, Streaky, etc. in it? Would you want to read about it?

Can't say I can envision an LSP that I would want to read about, on any kind of regular basis but I think there's a story in this "gift" idea.
