The puzzling thing is why the Legionnaires didn't take Ayla there during Legion on the Run.

It stops reversed space-aging!

Kind of anti-Fountain of Youth in a way.

Hmmm... interesting theory. That implies that the Fountain's being there originally was no coincidence, but that it was intentionally put there by someone in order to thwart the Time Trapper's schemes.
