Mayra, Sinde, Janice Warren... were they like the kind of girls that want to get with today's professional athletes? It must be a very prestigous position to be the girlfriend of a Legionnaire. You, out of the zillions of others, have been chosen, and you're not even a superheroine! How do the Legionnaires know what your true intentions are? Saturn Girl would certainly not snoop into their minds to find out.
Some girls made it...Shvaughn Erin with Element Lad, but she was a Sci-Cop, respectable. Gigi was with Gim before he became a Legionnaire. Sun Boy dated LOTS of girls, but nobody seemed to like it much when he got with Laurel Kent. (At first it was her youth, then it was the whole Robot Terrorist thing...)
Lyle dated that one girl (I think it was Martika) who seemed bent on getting him to propose. He skated.
I don't think there were any guys who tried this. Were there?

Maybe Cos was testing her? If she did her time as a Substitute, he'd be willing to give her a chance.... A bit snotty, but not really unreasonable.
