Wondering if anyone's got old copies of Previews to get (scans of?) pre-Lgs61/LSH105 solicits for LegionWiki.

Any really would help, but in particular the Legion of the Damned feature article (essentially a second, expanded solicit for LSH122, the only missing bit post-Lgs61/LSH105), LSH 0, Lgs 0, Lgs 50 and LSH 100 would help.

I have every Previews form March 1995 - October 2004 with the exception of these 16 issues August 95, Sept 95, March 99, April 99, June 01, July 01, August 01, Sept 01, Oct 01, June 03, August 03, Oct 03, Nov 03, April 04, May 04, Sep 04. I stopped picking up Previews after Oct 04. I'm not clear on what it is you wanting though.

The solicit blurbs for, well, any Legion of Super-Heroes and Legionnaires issues from the zero issues to Legionnaires #61 & Legion of Super-Heroes #105, [I found a couple of online sources that meant I could fill in the solicits after that point, which was "issues on sale April 1998", so I suppose that would be the equivalent of the February 1998 Previews onwards for the purposes].

This sort of blurb:

quote:
LEGIONNAIRES #66
WRITTEN BY KC CARLSON; ART BY MICHAEL COLLINS AND JOHN STOKES; COVER BY JEFF MOY AND W.C. CARANI
In stores October 14. A solo espionage adventure starring Invisible Kid! Lyle goes off on his own in search of his long-lost friend, Jacques Foccart. His search leads him to a club owned by another former spy from his past: Mara Grace, also known as Charma! Invisible Kid finds himself immersed in the spy game again, as he faces Charma, who is determined to learn the secret of his invisibility!
FC, 32 PG. $2.50

The four I mentioned especially (the #0s and the anniversary issues), well the #0s [on-sale Aug 1994, so probably the June 1994 Previews] would be before your first issues. Legionnaires #50 was on-sale May 1997, so probably Previews March 1997; and LSH 100 was on-sale Nov 1997, so probably Previews September 1997. Any from that range up to Previews Jan 1998 would be helpful though.

It roughly took place during #273 - #282. Although I think his amnesia ended in #275 the story wasn't resolved until the end of the Reflecto storyline in #282.
Thank you again, Lightning Lad. [Smile]

One of the few, glaring gaps in my Legion collection is the absence of the JLA issues the Legion appeared in back in the 70's (JLA 146 & 147??). I have not been able to track them down for many years. Can anyone confirm the issue numbers and maybe provide a picture of their covers for my search?

Thank you!

Hey Nightcrawler!

Thanks for all the help. I actually forgot that I originally posted to the topic link you provided, but this is the first time I've seen the actual covers. My comic book store, back in the day, never carried any Giant issues, which is why I missed these. However, I think the Crisis on Multiple Earths #4 is the route I will try first.

All this reference info was a great help!

Who is Rain Girl? I know a Legion reject looks like her, but when did she get a name? Has she appeared anywhere else?
I saw a "Legion doll" in Rat's Nest site here:
http://ratsnest.of-the-night.com/legion2.html
and Rain Girl is a member of the Legion Academy (last row, left)

The only "appearance" of Rain Girl that I'm aware of was in the Bits of Legionnaire Business in Adventure #308 as a suggestion by Jess and Steve Weiner.

Thank you, LL! [Smile]
I'm trying to locate the issue the reject who looks like the "Rain Girl" micro appeared in - in just one panel and without a name - but have had no luck yet.

Edit: OK, this girl appeared in Adventure #301 in a few panels.

Re: the link above - Most of the names are made up on the Academy members and Krypton Kid isn't from the 30th century.

Yes, I noticed later that "Rain Girl" was a conjectural name. Still, I wonder. In Legion wiki she's mentioned as "Spider girl". I suppose that's conjectural too, because of her red, very thick hair and the green color of her costume. She does remind me a bit of Sussa.
I couldn't find the slightest evidence that she was a "proto-Sussa" though, or that her powers had anything to do with rain since she never demonstrated her powers and the suggestion for Rain Girl came in a later issue.
But it was a nice little mystery. [Smile] Here's a picture of this pretty applicant and, presumably, reject from Adv. #301 in case anyone else wants to see her.
Thank you both for your help, guys.
