I need to watch the Nightmare on Elm Streets again, I haven't in awhile. Halloween 4, 5 and 6 are my favorites, I remember finding them so terrifying when I was about 12 that now I think it's more nostalgic fear than anything.

Name: Scott Sharritt
Age: 37
Where you live: Happy Valley (otherwise known as Utah)
What you do: Business Technology Supervisor (I handle the intranet, IVR and Avaya systems, among others, for a branch of Marriott)

Legion info: Garth has always been my favorite. Even as a kid when we played super-heroes I was always Lightning Lad. My first story was Soljer's Private War in Superboy # 210. It came out around the time my father passed away. It wasn't until about 2 years later that I really started to reading them again but that was my first experience.

I love the pre-crisis/pre-boot era, especially the Levitz/Giffen era. But Steve Lightle has been, and still is, my favorite Legion artist. I loved watching the Legion grow older, become married and having children. I think in a way it helped my through my teens seeing them age. Yes I spent quite a bit of time alone then. [Big Grin]

I got away from the books sometime after the TMK era started. I wasn't drawn back until a few years ago, when, on a whim, I searched on the internet for something about them and found an e-mail role playing game. I was hooked again and now play in about 5 to 8 different games, most of them Legion and most of my characters being Garth. Maybe one of these days I'll get you all into a game here on the board. They are great fun. And maybe I'll share some of my fan-fic. It might surprise a couple of you. [Big Grin]

Non-Legion, non-comic book, I love movies, music and computers. I'm one of the few people I know who think it is relaxing to play with HTML and design web pages. I like role-playing games and have a DnD group that plays every so oftem but its been a few months for them to get together.

Music wise I'm eclectic. I listen to just about everything but am partial to Alternative right now. Still Heart, Pink Floyd and 80's music are in my blood. Oh, Evanescence, if you didn't already know, is my current favorite. I have yet to tire of the lovely voice of Amy Lee. [Love]

Movies I like run the gamut. I don't have a particular favorite at the moment but anything in the British comedy realm makes me laugh out loud. Horror movies are in my blood. My mom used to take my little brother and myself out to a triple feature that started at midnight on Friday night. We wouldn't get home until dawn. Classics like Blood Farmers, Devils Rain and 2000 Maniacs. I'm not as much into sci-fi movies as I used to be. Probably just because I don't have the time much anymore.

Books. I just don't read much anymore but like movies, horror is the best. Caroline and I collect vampire books (its how we met). I like classic sci-fi like ERB and Asimov too. Plus any Dirk Pitt adventure by Clive Cussler.

TV. 24 is my current favorite. Keifer Sutherland is so perfect in the role. I hope the new season is as good as the last (which I need to finish watching before the end of October). And I watch just about every Seinfeld re-run I can.

I think that's enough for now. Back to packing.

Age: 49 & Holding
Where you live: Westerly RI
What you do: Retired US Navy Chief Petty Officer, Former Quality Systems Analyst for a major Aerospace Casting Company, Currently studying Computer Programming and Writing. I don’t ever want to work for someone else again, so I am currently trying establish my writing credentials. Just maybe…

Legion info: I started reading the legion in the late 1950’s, when they first started making guest appearances in Superboy, Adventure, and Action comics. My favorite era was the second Levitz Run. My favorite artists are Steve Lightle and “Iron” Mike Grell. My next favorite(s) would be the current DnA run, with Steve’s art (Are you listening DC!!!)

Other things you like: Watching my grandchildren grow up – I missed way too much of my children’s developmental years because I was off riding submarines. I love reading, mainly SciFi (Robert Heinlein, Asimov, Alan Dean Foster, Andre Norton, EE “Doc” Smith, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jack L. Chalker, Piers Anthony, Spider & Jeanie Robinson… I could go on a while) but any well written book can hold my attention, I’m not big on movies but do watch a select few (any John Wayne movie, Independence Day, Men in Black, X-Men… Is there a theme here?) I don’t watch TV except for Sports (Red Sox & Buffalo Bills, how masochistic is that?) and News (Fox News keeps my disgust with the growing right wing lunacy in this country fresh on a daily basis.) I can and do listen to almost any music, but Steppenwolf and Creedance Clearwater Revival hold my heart.

To me Legion World is a wonderful exercise in Creative Writing combined with the opportunity to interact with some very special people who share some of my interests. Gary & Scott have provided us with a fantastic playground/clubhouse. Thanks Guys.

Space Ranger concurs with the above statements.

Keith, 34, Surrey UK - though originally from NE Scotland and I investigate GPs for fraud and embezzlement. It's not that much fun really though the end result is satisfactory but even so thank Gawd for Legion World, stupidvideos.com and internet porn I say! <heh, you wanted personal disclosure?> Though that said I have a wee studio were I paint and have recently had a Kuwaiti Gallery order 8 pictures from me so I may give up the day job sometime soon.

I'm not sure of my first real memory of the Legion as both of my brothers had comics around as I grew up so they would have always been there though I have a strong recollection of the team being split up and fighting one another with Kryptonians, Atlanteans and loads of time travel..... no idea of the issue at all these days!

Fave characters have been Star Boy, Triplicate Girl/ Triad and Timber Wolf. Loved Cosmic Boys Nipple Gripper costume, pity about the stuffed shirt in it.

Fave period was the much maligned 5YG era - still love it now! And Cos had a personality there for the first time, which was a real shocker!

hobbies other than reading are painting - see Sonnie's Studio Snaps in the Bit's o' Legion Business section - my man Roj, buying CDs, avoiding getting a tan, food and wine. I'm sure there are others but this isn't the appropriate forum.....

I'm not a movie fan, I get bored too easily these days..... I'm more of a 'doing' kind of bloke than a 'watching' kind. That's my excuse for having no attention span anyway.

Lately I've been really into the Clash, it's all I've been listening too! Anyone else a big Clash fan?

I'd say my two favorite bands are Led Zeppelin and Metallica (the first 5 albums especially), though I have a whole host of other bands that I love (Green Day, Doors, CCR, Beatles, etc.) And if anyone listens to hip-hop, I really like the Wu-Tang Clan and lately Mobb Deep. I like pretty much everything...

Fine… in the interests of me not being a voyeur for having read all the rest of these…

My name’s Robert Dell
I’m 32.
I live in Portland, Oregon.
I work as a Technical Writer/Training Coordinator (I prefer not giving more job information than that because it takes too long to convey the details, and it's never worth it when I finally get to the end.)

My favorite character is Element Lad, both because he was supposed to be gay, and because even if he’s not, he’s got a darn cool power.

I love the adventure era for the same reason I love camp.

I started reading in March.

I like hearing classic Jazz vocalists.

I like it when movies are good, so can’t pick a particular genre over another.

And finally, the colors I painted the rooms of my house last year include Bog, Shady Lagoon, Cactus, and Pollen.

Other - main interests away from Legion are music (punk, rock and folk mostly), science fiction, playing guitar and surfin'.

Name : Ken Thomson
Age : Far too close to 40 for comfort
Live In : Aberdeen, Scatland (sic)
What Do I Do?: Instrument Designer (systems for measuring, not instruments for playing)

Legion Info: Started reading around the age of 7, having started out with the FF & Spidey at about 4. Fave storyline - The Great Darkness. Darkseid just needs to get a grip and do some real damage.

Other Things I like : Spending time with my two daughters (except for trying to get them to do homework !!). Getting rid of the kids and spending time with my wife.
Films - particularly long ones for some strange reason, Sci-Fi, good comedy (e.g. Python). By the way Bicycle Repair Man - Cool Alter Ego.
Football - the real game, not that nancy thing with padding from across the pond (which can be quite fun too).
Music - particularly stuck in 80s AOR. Though listening to Marilyn Manson, Shania Twain and Preston Reed at present. Now there's a threesome for you.
Sarcasm.

Anything else I want to share: Big brother to Sonnie Boy.

Hey Numf El great to have another Aberdonian onboard at Legion World! Although not from there myself (Millport born, Edinburgh raised) I spent a good five years of my life in Aberdeen.

Where you live: LMBP Outpost, in orbit around Legion World

What you do: Shop, flip my hair, give people direction, save the world... y'know... Princess-y stuff

Legion World men you like: Well, of course my favorite is the Boy With Ultra Powers (dreamy sigh), but I'm also quite fond of Lashie Poo, Povvie Poo and Cobie Cakes [Wink]
