Jillikers! He was on the Legion Board when I was leaving work but this thread wasn't in those top six threads thingie at the top of the main page. We had our window, and blew it!
We can't let this turn into another Grendel fiasco!

You'll get used to it. Remember when the Web was like the Wild West? You've found a little corner that just never got itself civilized.

We had to behold you in your glory on the MMB! The MMB is kind of like a hot dog on the streets of NYC. You don't know what it is exactly but its so delicious and you just can't help but try one. And sometimes you can bargain the guy down from $5 to $4. Not really sure how that last part applies to this analogy, but hey, that's part of the MMB too!

Basically, the price for a street anything in NYC is negociable. New Yorkers know that but tourists don't, so New Yorkers sometimes give the guy their own price and the guy agrees, and then the guy needs to make up for it when he sees a tourist. Its capitalism at its most basic form, for hot dogs and Georgia hots!

Welcome, to the madness, TL. The secret is just to embrace the insanity. It's easier that way.
