I've always been fond of Jack Cole's Plastic Man, but haven't had many chances to draw the character.
Plas was among a handful of characters that I "designed" for the Hero Clix toys. They needed a front a nd back view of the characters, which the toy modelers used to create the three dimensional figures.
What you may remember seeing is the art that I created for Sterling Software. Sterling was a licensing client of DC Comics which used Flash, Green Lantern, Shazam (Captain Marvel),and Plastic-man as spokesman for their products. Some of the artwork that they required included scenes from the various origins of the characters.
Before that I had drawn Woozy Winks as part of the "DC Challenge" title. It was fun drawing Woozy interacting with characters as diverse as Blackhawk , Deadman and Darkseid.
Thanks for mentioning some great old characters. Even though I haven't drawn them as much as I would like, they are always fun.
