Dave is one of the greats! I just wish I had the cash to have bid on that cover to the Legion Companion that he sold on eBay. What an awesome piece of work! I'll just have to settle on having my copy of the companion when it is released.

Hey, don't get me started on this thread. I de-lurk every so often to sing Dave's praises. In my mind, among the many wonderful artists who've drawn the strip, Dave reigns supreme. From settings, to costumes, to character design, Dave did it all...He's the reason we're all here today (the feature would have died had Dave not taken it on).
On the personal side, I met Dave when I was a kid and he is one of the nicest guys on the planet.
Love the man, love the work, and I'm glad I have the opportunity to say so.

I absolutely loved Dave's work on the Legion. Jan's costume in the 70s was my favorite (he looked good in blue and green). I am here to sing the praises of Dave.

To each their own, but I've never been a fan of any blue-green combo (even in real life). I liked E-Lad's black-magenta number with the interlac "E" myself.
