For you Gail Simone fans (I am one), there is a story in the New York Times Books section about her upcoming writing of Wonder Woman. She is the first woman to write for this character. The article has some interesting background info on both Gail and WW, but no Legion mention.

Trina wrote a post-Crisis arc (or mini - was that Trina Robbins, Kurt Busiek or both? Memory's a little fuzzy now), but the Times article specifically says "She is the first woman to serve as “ongoing writer” (to use the industry’s term) in the character’s 66-year history."
So no harm, no foul.
