I remember Gene was hospitalized earlier this year after being assaulted by his wife. I don't know if that resulted in an injury to his left eye though.

So far the only ones missing are, George Papp, Pete Costanza and Jimmy Janes, and what of Editors like Mort Weisinger and Inkers like Murphy Anderson, who had a huge impact on the books at the time they were working on them.
