I believe that I'm member number 42. Which makes me exactly 5.25 times better than Pov. Just kiddin. How could anybody be better than Pov? And with an Avatar like that...
Actually, while I was resurrecting some of my saved DCMB threads, I noticed that no one had a member number back then. Even when I tried to see the link to the profile, I couldn't find a member number. Then I realized how cool that was not to automatically know who was new or old. Who was a veteran and who was the virgin? So I looked for the feature here and voila! No more member numbers.
Now we're all equal!
And BTW, post counts don't count. Look at Beagz.

And for the record, I agree. Equality for LW! I'll change my sig when something catches my fancy...

Beagz is #5. I was number #4.
And we're still in order in the directory, so it doesn't take much to figure out who joined when...

So.... the "Registered:" bit means naught?

Put your cursor over the name above your avatar. It's a link to your profile, and that gives your member number ("u=") at the end. In your case, 35.
And remember, we can have up to 99,999,999 members, so remember the chant:
400 fans is not enough! RECRUIT! RECRUIT! RECRUIT!

Gary, you have old threads saved from the Legion board? Cool! Which ones?

Forgot that part. Want me to get rid of that too?

No.

Anyway, I think if you really want to disguise the veterans from the virgins, eliminating post counts is necessary. It may be the case that there are people who registered in July that have less than 100 posts, but clearly if a poster has 3000 posts, they didn't just start posting last week.
