Author Topic: Pattern Recognition Fat Cramer Rich and flaky posted                        This is a book by William Gibson that I'm reading now. It's the story of a woman who is a "coolhunter" for ad agencies - she just instinctively knows what is cool, but she herself suffers terrible allergies to brand names (especially Tommy Hilfiger). More to it than that - intrigue, adventure, people trying to kill her - the usual Gibson stuff. Lots of fun, and some interesting descriptions of how people behave on message boards too! (I'm a total music geek so I don't know what you're all talking about in the music threads.) Also, I did get some Mercedes Lackey (The Fire Rose) and Laurell Hamilton (A Caress of Twilight) at the library, they're next on the list. Thanks, Princess Cru, for the recos. The creep. And they never had cake, they were always going to high-priced coffee shops and eating Indian food because they were so cool. Uber-cool, global cool.
