OK, a few days ago I was on the porch of my house. My 3-yr-old boy started to come outside. He opened the screen door, but he dropped the small toy he was carrying. It was just a small plastic Percy (Of Thomas the Tank Engine fame) and I heard it hit and bounce a little. The strange thing is, I can't find it.
I KNOW it has to be within a few feet of where he dropped it - but it has completely disappeared. I heard it hit - but I can't find it anywhere. Did it slip into an alternate dimension? I just have no idea where else to look. It must be within a few feet of where he dropped it - and it fell right behind me, I heard it - but it's gone. I am sure it will turn up someday, but I just don't have any idea where it could have gone. I have checked all of the reasonable places it could have gone, and a few unreasonable ones.

I think you should tear down your house until you find Percy. Imagine how cold and alone he must be feeling right now.
