I've seen some good reviews around the net, but the movie was a disappointment to me.

The art was pretty standard, the story pretty much reduced lois, voiced by the marvelous Pauley Peretti to a "here's the love interest" role.

Whatever oomph they were hoping for by having mild language was pretty much lost. Better stories out there to tell by far.

I haven't hear much about it. I saw a little when I went to my comic book shop last Wednesday. The part I saw didn't impress me. The story seem like the fascist Justice League story from "Justice League" (the cartoon)

I liked it from an intellectual angle. I thought the action was solid, but I liked to see the challenge to Superman's way of doing things in a darker world and the doubt he raised in himself.

And since I prefer the wholesome heroes, I liked the way that it ended. It raised some interesting questions and handled them appropriately. And there was some great dialogue and voice work. Pauley surprised me. I thought she sounded too much like Artemis on "Young Justice" at first, but she quickly grew on me.

I agree, though, that the animation was lacking.

I haven't seen it, but it's based on one of the best Superman stories of the 2000s. If they screwed up the adaptation, then that's a shame.

[Yes]

Probably *the* best.

Yeah. Unfortunately, the list for the current century to this point is purty damn short!
