The comic comes out next week so I ordered two. That's one for me that'll go in a hermetically sealed time capsule not to be opened until the year 2020 and one for my six year old that will probably be fit for bird cage lining within a week or at most two.
I know I could just wait and get a stack of them from the various CBS I visit (I'll do that too) but I just can't resist getting it when it hits the stands. Plus I want to know if there's the tiniest difference in the issues and the only way to be sure of that is to get them both.
You got a plan?..or just go with the flow?

The first issue of the new legion comic based on the cartoon The Legion of Superheroes in the 31st Century is slated to be one of the giveaway comics on Free Comicbook day.
Also the first issue of the comic will hit the stands next week but it's a regular 'for sale' issue.
I'm practically hopping up and down with excitement!
Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Was hoping to buy a copy of the first issue. Sent in a subscription to DC comics in March. When I didn't hear anything back by April, I phoned and they told me my subscription doesn't start until the second issue. Thought that was weird. They told me I couldn't get the first issue from them at this point either. I did, however, manage to get a copy of the free Legion comic book on Free Comic Book Day at a local comic book store. Was very surprised I was able to find it, because we don't have much in the way of comic book stores in my area. I asked if the store had the regular issue (not just the free version) and they said they never received any of them.
By the way, read the free comic as soon as I got it and have to say I was disappointed in the story line. The TV version was so much better. Hope the writing gets better in the comic. Would be curious to hear what others thought of the comic book version of the story. I liked the introductions of all the characters. (I guess Brainiac 5 does go by Querl in that universe's version of things too, although no one's called him that.) I just didn't think the recaps of the stories from the different points of view sounded very in character. Anyone else have any thoughts on it?

..and best of all we have TWO Legion comics again. Plus some of the regular DC books are doing some far flung cross dimensional crossovers with the Legion.
It's some real old fashioned futuristic space rockin' good times!
