The Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Centure #3
Written by Scott Beatty, art by Sanford Greene and Nathan Massengill, cover by Steve Uy.

Auditions can be scary, especially when the team you're trying out for is the Legion of Super-Heroes! But a small-planet girl is about to make good when a big-time threat proves more than the Legion can handle. So say what you want about substitutes, we think they look pretty good together!

32 pages, $2.25, in stores on June 20.

Hmmm...

Small-planet girl = Shrinking Violet?

or

Small-planet girl + reference to substitutes = Infectious Lass?

Small-planet girl = Small Town Girl

And from the green I'd guess Infectious Lass But what about Night Girl?

Kathoon is hardly a small planet.

I hear they have quite the nightlife.

Steve Uy's Saturn Girl looks like a refugee from 'Lord of the Rings'.

What are you saying Orlando Bloom is going to play Saturn Girl in the live-action adaptation.

There's not a word yet, for old friends who've just met.

Eh, if that picture is any indication, I think Orlando'd be prettier as Imra...

Go back in time a few years, and Sarah Michelle Gellar could be a cute Imra. She's got a rich voice, which would be one of the most important parts of getting Imra right, IMO.

I'm thinking more Julia Stiles for Imra.

[LOL] [LOL] [LOL]

Well, at least if he's the "new" saturn Girl he won't have to use his voice!

Will LSH31 have original stories or adaptations from the episodes? I mean, even if it's Infectious Lass I don't remember the Legionnaires reacting this way in the cartoon when they saw Drura! [Big Grin]

It's an adaption from the series, I think. They've just changed it so the people that make it like it.
