Yep, a lot of Culling stuff back into play, but I do like Caitlin and Ridge, and I always like when our super-powered heroes punch our super-powered villains into space Team Rocket style.

A preview of a Legion book with one panel of Legionnaires says it all.
Lost has lost its way and I for one won't miss it.

It would have been nice for Legion Lost closing out with a Legion centered story... which last issue set up nicely, but alas, DC just wants Legion Lost readers to pick up Superboy and Ravangers when this is over. Sorry DC. That won't happen! I read Legion Lost only because I'm a die hard Legion fan.

After all these years I'm convinced TPTB just do not get the Legion or its extensive fan base. The change of artistic team in conjunction with the Culling/Ravengers promotion totally killed this title. What is worse is it seems that DC wanted all this to happen so they could cancel this series and replace it with a new #1 title premier. There is no investment into any of their titles anymore that don't have Superman or Batman, and this neglect has been happening to the Legion for years now. Continuity, character development, and a general editorial supervision have gone totally out the window.
I blame Rap music and "Reality" TV.

The first part of this issue wasn't too bad, but then Superboy and the Ravangers got called in as reinforcements and suddenly the Legion lost their story and their title for several pages. I wish DeFalco had left this a Legion story without having to call in everyone to save their butts. Alas, at least we now know what happened to Gates. I just hope he doesn't kill all the Legionnaires off before this is all said and done. The Echo storyline could actually make an interesting subplot in the main Legion title once the Lost team finds there way back home.

I don't have a problem with the Ravangers/Superboy team-up at the face of it, but it does kinda stink that this book's last story isn't yet showing off the actual Lost team. That said, what was given was a solid-enough fighty-fighty issue with some interesting stuff in there, it's just unfortunate.

It was a decently fun issue, but agree with the above - not enough focus on the Legionnaires; and if the issue's going to be mostly battle, I'd prefer some "cool" battle scenes with the characters creatively using/combining their powers.

Am I going to regret that I didn't read the New 52 version of Captain Atom?
I tried the first issue of Captain Atom--it depends on your definition of "regret," I guess, since that was a really terribly written issue.

It's a shame the great potential in this series was wasted. Hopefully this team will all find their way back to the 31st century.
