Don't go digging into your collection, but off the top of your head, when did you see a pair of eyes in Legion comics that really made an impact on you? Whose were they? What was happening?
Jim Sherman drew a picture of Dream Girl in, I think, SLSH #225, where her eyes were all glossy and silvery. That made an impact.
Grell drew a close up of Laurel Kent in her intro story that left an impression on me. Her eyes were somewhat sad and intense and she was so beautiful.
The way Sherman drew Imra and Garth looking into each others eyes (SLSH 241?, the issue had 3 stories) was amazing. He was just so good at it!

Ayla's haunted, hurt eyes when she saw (or thought she did) Timber Wolf with Saturn Girl on that asteroid...
Dawnstar's blame-filled eyes in the same panel.
Dream Girl's space-field filled eyes when she went into prophecy mode in the DNA issues (I'll miss that...)
Young Element Lad's troubled amber eyes when he was blaming himself for killing some Dominators in the 5YL years...
In the back of my head, there's a panel featuring some Legionnaire's eyes with a reflection of something traumatic happening that they are witnessing... but the 'ball' just won't 'drop'!

Dean do you mean SLSH #236 with a cover by Grell and Joe Rubinstein? This one?

Scott, thanks for the link to Matthew's thread. It made me think that I need that Sourcebook. Yes, the issue you posted above is the one I mean. Sherman depicted probably the most romantic scene between Garth and Imra EVER!
Todd, some great moments! That's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for on this thread.

Let's not forget the first issue of the current series. Barry drew wonderfully emotion filled eyes for both Cos and Therra as news of the massacre on Lallor is being broadcast to the legionnaires in the plaza. It was a perfect depiction of the crisis point that Cos reached in deciding to order the Legionnaires into combat.

Looking through Legion Lost last night, I was surprised how much Coipel used eyes to express emotion - and a lot of close-ups of eyes. One great depiction was Jazmin in #3, looking at a small projection of Jan - with the horizontal lines of the image reflected in her eyes.

Legion Lost #11 was a great eyes issue (it even had a giant eye as a cover.)
In particular I remember Monstress saying something lame along the lines of "How sad, you got stuck by yourself for a year" and Jan said "A year?" with a close up on his startled eye.
I also liked in some panels (same issue) Jan had sad puppy dog eyes reminding us of the poor little space orphan he used to be and in other panels he had those crazy, haughty scary-as-hell God eyes.
