If they are just comic characters then my bet is Supergirl isn't from the past at all. And probably not kryptonian. She might be from Daxam or another planet...and is pretending to be Supergirl from the comics. just a flash I had. There's an excellent fanfic I read on the Superboy lives website where the Legion meets Mordru for the first time. They have Superboy with them, and they're confident that the whole "Kryptonians are vulnerable to magic" thing is a load of hooey ... until the Big M puts the smackdown on the Boy of Steel!
