I really like that Rogue and Phoenix one. I'm not to familiar with the characters (I think I've read like, one or two X-Men issues ever) but I might try to color this one if I get a chance.

As you can see I liked the XS pic. I'll quit goofing off with it and do a serious treatment for it pretty soon.

Cool. That's a damned nice Dawnstar, Loser. My wife saw that and made me copy it (like I wouldn't have anyway?) and asked me two other times that night if I was absolutely certain I'd copied it 'cause she liked it so much. -really nice work man-

I'm thinking for this next contest, anyone who enters gets a doll, but a smaller sized one cause I can do more detail on something smaller... I donno, what do ya'll think?

Thanks YK! I'm glad you and your wife liked it! I went a little nuts trying to get the shading on the wings to look right. That took me quite awhile, but it turned out pretty good if I must say so myself.
I started working on the Violet one too, but I wasn't happy with the way it was going so I ended up giving up on that one for now. I have a tough time making realistic looking backgrounds. That's why most of the pics I choose to color are ones where there's only the character(s) to worry about. So much easier that way...

That sounds like a good idea Kat, as long as you're willing to make all the dolls. I think most of us would still play, prizes or no.

I was unsure about the Vi colors I did because I made her hair all...violet... and gave her more extreme make-up than normal. I'm glad people liked it, though...
Honestly, I don't think of this as a competition. More like a group project. I like to see all the interpretations done by different people.

Yeah, what Dean said. Sure the idea of a contest gives a little motivation for us to get them in by a certain date but in reality I'm enjoying seeing all these other folks putting some of their own vision into the characters we're coloring. It's great.
...and that's ok too Loser. Your color work on the figures is just fantastic. I've been concentrating a little more on the backgrounds lately and I think a few of them came out pretty nice..heh..kind of kills my chance to "win" by changing parts of the pic but I like the product so it's worth it to me.

Then, I think we'll keep it as a challenge and anyone who has entered who didn't get a prize that would like one, PM me and I'll make them something... cause a challenge works MUCH better I think.
