As Sarah looked out the window of the penthouse apartment at the streets of Gotham City, she was amazed by it all. Two years ago her friend Julie was just a helpless, spoiled rich kid she’d met while both were trekking across Europe. It was strange how they had hit it off, and even stranger how they’d kept in touch as Sarah watched Julie’s meteoric rise to stardom as one of the hottest young actresses in the world. Julie always told her that she was her rock, the one that kept her grounded during these crazy times. Sarah wished that she could confide in Julie the way Julie confided in her, but that just wasn’t the nature of their friendship. She liked Julie well enough, but also knew that her friend wouldn’t understand the burdens that she carried.
Julie walked in the room. “Hey, Sarah! I have the perfect dress for you to wear tonight! It will look absolutely stunning on you!”
“What is this thing that we’re going to, again?”
“It’s a party hosted by the Trinity.”
“The Trinity?”
“That’s what the newspapers call them. They’re the three hottest young bachelors in Gotham. They’re actually old friends of mine from school. It’s kind of funny the amount of attention they get these days.”
“You should speak, Miss Movie Star…”
In a few hours Sarah was in a world far removed from the Midwest college town that she’d called home for the past few years. So many gorgeous men, and they all seemed so incredibly charming and well-mannered, especially compared to the boys who were constantly hitting on her back home… but Julie kept insisting that these guys weren’t even worth speaking to, that Sarah “just had” to meet the hosts. Finally, they’d made their way through the crowd to the three guys at the center of it all. One was a tall blonde, thin but clearly in good shape, and very well-dressed. He emitted an air of incredible intelligence, and a confidence that Sarah found a bit overbearing. The second had closely cropped brown hair, was not as handsome as the other two, but possessed a strange charm that made you place your faith in him. He was clearly a leader, very thoughtful and thorough in whatever tasks to which he set himself. The third member of the Trinity was very relaxed, with a mess of dark black hair and in a tux that was slightly too large for him. He was cracking jokes at lightning fast rate, with a carefree manner that made him seem three or four years younger than the other two, though all three were in fact born just weeks apart. All three abruptly paused from the conversations they were in as Julie approached.
“Charlie! Harvey! Brucie! I’d like you to meet my friend Sarah!”
