I have been wanting to get back into drawing, but don't feel much like writing anything. I was hoping one of you might like to post a script (or detailed plot) for four page sequence I could illustrate & post.
Any takers?
Any version of the Legion, or supporting characters welcome subjects. Although I am looking for serious scripts, not over-the-top spoof stuff.
Maybe we could even get some other aspiring artists here to draw the same script & post their versions. It'd be neat to see the different interpretations.

Ah, just read through M-E LAD: The Series for the first time. FUN!!!
Yes, this shall be my project. I'll start tinkering around with some stuff... hope to have the first page(s) scanned and posted here by Monday evening the 31st.

I apologize, I have already started altering a tad, beginning with the first page. Instead of one panel, since page 3 is also a splash page, I have broken it down into 5 panels, thusly
panel 1 (large panel 3/4 of page) Mysterious stranger approaches Bismolian whorehouse. House is dilapidated gothic stlye manor sandwiched into a more futuristic skyline. Still, the proprieter like sto keep up appearances, to the extent possible, there is a doorman standing out front, in the rain.
CAP: It was a dark and stormy night...
panel 2 (panels 2-5 run in strip along bottom of page) Mysterious stranger has reached the manor, is standing in doorway where doorman is helping him off with trenchcoat. A semi-bird's eye view so face is still obscured by fedora. However, we do see some details: hands appear mechanical, is wearing an early Adventure era consolation-prize flight belt. Has a ray run of some type holstered (or protruding from a pocket?)
SIGN: (in interlac?) (Partially obscured by figures and panel borders) Madame Pepto's Pleasure Palace.
panel 3 Closer in on figures, pov from inside building, mysterious stranger is handing hat back over his shoulder to doorman as he begins to walk away. We see that mysterious stranger is a type of faceless robot: no nose, no hair, round nubs for ears, narrow red tornado-like slits for eyes, a round wire mesh speaker looking thing for a mouth.
panel 4 close in on doorman, pov looking into building. Doorman, with coat drapped over arm, seems to have forgotten about mysterious stranger and is eyeballing fedora. Mysterious Stranger is in distance, entering what was once (from what we can see) a fairly opulant sitting room.
panel 5 Mid body shot of doorman as he walks back out into the rain. He looks positively delighted with himself, having just taken a bite out of the fedora.

Panel One: (panels 1-5 run in strip acorss top of page) Close up on mecahnical hands of mysterious stranger holding a ray gun. Gun looks like a late 50's style toy raygun, you know type, that has a whirly clicker thing that lights up the inside when you pull the trigger. On side of gun it reads (in interlac?) "zap-o-matic 3000"
Caption: Suddenly a shot rang out
Panel Two: (sliver panel) Extreme close-up on a set of female lips, apparently in the throughs of passions
LIPS: Oooohhhh... Oooohhhh
Panel Three repeat panel two
Panel Four: panelless border, sound effects only
SFX: Bzzz-zzzz-zztttt
Panel Five: Same view as panels 2 & 3. Excpet lips are now screaming
LIPS: eeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!!!!! (Note: no word balloon, letter grow larger, break panel border, and swing around to hover over head of female in next panel
Panel Six: (takes up entire lower 2/3+ of page Body of senator shown with scantily clad screaming woman. Woman in mid panel, stioll screaming (dressed how, like Charma?) Senator on floor at foot of bed, face up, big dead eyeballs, older man, balding, looks kinda Boss Hogg-ey (dressed how, as Grimbor?) Senator has large circular burn mark in middle of chest. Mysterious Stranger is in mid-upper left of panel, escapiing through a large window, perhaps looking back?
CAP: ... ON BISMOLL!! (note: cap box lower than girl shriek but higher than remaining panels which will be in lower right. this was will read in correct order)
Panel Seven: (panels 7-12 are actually not panels, but small omnicom like screens hovering over main panel, are clustered (2 rows of 3? 3 rows of 2?) in lower right of panel.)
Official #1 (on portable vid-phone): Give a Groucho kind of a look?
GROUCHO:"We have a problem... Senator Spaulding has been shot..."
Panel Eight: Offical #2 (on portable vid-phone): Give a sort of Harpo look? NO words, figure slapping forehead.
Panel Nine: Official #3 (on portable vid-phone): Give a sort of Chico look?
CHICO: "That's-a the fiftha time-ah this month!"
Panel Ten: Official #1 (on portable vid-phone):
GROUCHO: "But this time it's serious... he's dead!"
Panel Eleven: Official #2 (on portable vid-phone):
HARPO: no words, holding hands to pured lips in a "Oopsey!" expression.
Panel Twelve: Official #3 (on portable vid-phone):
CHICO: "Well-ah, that'sa it then. We'll-ah have to holda us a lottery..."

Page three I need som direction on. What does kitchen look like? What chores exactly is Tenzil doing? Wold he really be holding, or pushing a vacuum in the 30th century? How can he make chores look odious, but stil futuristic? Is he just standing there, or is he on one leg dooing something with other foot?

Some comments:
PAGE ONE
--I like the breaking up the page, as long as we get a nice cityscape in the first panel.
--I also like the notion of the "whorehouse" looking somewhat anachronistic. It should be somewhat dilapidated, maybe as though people have been taking bites out of it.
--Note that the assassin is revealed to be the Kem's maid Shirley in #2. I had originally envisioned just keeping her completely in shadows until her identity is revealed, but maybe she could be dressed as a robot? What do you think, Lash?
PAGE TWO
--Do we need two panels of the prostitute in the throes of passion?
--Definitely Boss Hog in a Grimboresque outfit.
--I'm not too big on turning the Bismollian officials into the Marx Brothers. What do you think, Lash?
PAGE THREE
--Let me think about the kitchen scene some more. It should be quite messy, and there should be as many things going on (kettle's boiling, pots overflowing, microwave timer counting down, etc.) all at once as we can get.

I think I prefer the assassin to remain a shadowy figure in all appearances until its revealed as Shirley, but Eryk could sway me easily.
Definitely don't want to change the names or dialogue, but I think I'd be okay with giving the feds Marx Bros-esque looks. Could be funny.
As for the kitchen scene, I say the more mundane and non-futuristic looking the chore-doing seems, the better. The Kems are poooOOOor at this point... REALLY poor!

Ooops, had not read far enough ahead to know the ID of the assassin. Will change from robot to otherwise mask identity.
Only want to give govt reps on vid-phones just enough of a hint of Marxishness that, on second look, someone will go... hey, wait a second.
I am not married to my adaptation adding panels 2-5 to page two, was just way I visualized story flow when reading. I will lay it out, see how it looks, see what you think, adapt from there. I just wanted to add a bit of an interuption in the transition from hand holding gun, to dead senator, that it is clear something has been interputed. we'll see how it all feels when I sit down to draw
