Jeepers! I didn't think we had Chupacabras on Legion World! I was under the impression the Nosferatu chased them all away!

True story: I've, more than once, embarassed myself by saying "el chupacabras?" just out of the blue to hispanics. I always get that "you're an idiot" look in return! [Embarrassed]

Can't help myself--"el chupacabras" just rolls off the tongue and is fun to say! [LOL]

In Mexico, there's an expletive that goes, "CHANFLE!"

So if you see a Chupacabra, you have to exclaim, "CHANFLE! El Chupacabra!"

If a Chupacabra boards a train, does it become the "Chupacabra Choo-Choo?" And is there a swing revival band that's going to record a song by that title?

BTW, I get the sense that "Chupacabras" is singular, not plural as is usually the case with Spanish words ending in -as. IS it singular or not? :shrug;

I'm not sure what it means, it's sort of the same as saying, "HOLY SH*T!" in English.

It always makes me think of fried banana chips, which are often referred to as "chifles."
