We went to an outdoor wedding yesterday and broasted in 89 degree temps before heading to the reception and getting very...umm...cheerful. I was actually pretty surprised that I wasn't more wrecked this morning. I'm thinking maybe it's because of the big meal we had at the reception or possibly because of the two aspirin I took before going to bed. From: Vancouver, BC, Canada | Registered: Dec 2003  |  IP: Logged |  Set There's not a word yet, for old friends who've just met. posted                           Back when I drank, I'd come home, grab a bottle of water, pop some aspirin and eat some dry toast (or just a couple of slices of bread) and then hit the sack. For me, the number one cause of hangovers is dehydration, and a bottle of water next to the bed is a handy way to deal with that. The bread / toast helps deal with the day-after sour stomach feeling that comes from that lovely toxic stew of alcohol and digestive acid floating around together with nothing to do. The aspirin is just in case. The only time this didn't work for me, I'd mixed all sorts of wine, mixed drinks and shots of tequila the night before, and I'm pretty sure that only having my head cut off and shoved in the freezer would have saved me from a hangover that day...
