So what have you scored from your friendly neighborhood quarter (or equivalent) bin? Was it frighful? Delighful? Insightful? A steal or a rip-off?
I picked up books one, three, four, and six of the 1963 set. I liked the ads, the "Sweatshop Section", and the letters the best.

The owner of my local CBS marked all her quarter-bin comics according to Overstreet after some fanboy crowed about finding a $15 comic in there.
This is the same shop owner who prices all her back issues the NM price regardless of the grade. I don't think the concept of "grade" means anything to her, actually.
Goes without saying, I don't buy back-issues there...
And I'm eternally jealous of those of you who have good access to bargain comics!

I got the Mayfair Games Legion Source book (the 5 year gap one) and the Great Darkness Saga TPB for .25 cents each at a thrift store I then sold them on E-Bay for 60 dollars!!!!

I got the two earlier Mayfair Games LSH sourcebooks for a dollar each, plus the 4 part LSH adventure they put out. [paid full price for the 5 Years Later update]. Also got the Watchmen sourcebook for a dollar.
I got three longboxes of comics one time for $10. Mind you the contents were a serious grab-bag of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I'm about to pick up a whole run of Marvel Team-Up (somewhere in the forties/fifties/sixties) for about a dollar each! I recently completed my Spidey collection by getting the last Spectaculur issue I need (thus making it every single Spidy ever) and have decided to continue this by going after the Marvel Team-Up issues (of which I have none).
Bargain Bins are the best!

Most of the back issues at my shop are pretty much just their cover price, occassionally cheaper and very occassionally more expensive (they had each issue of Authority #1 - #12 for £10 each a while back. Surely they aren't worth that much are they?)
However the bargains that I've got have been at the bristol comic con. The LSH Who's Who with the story about finding out who's father in the Legion (all three issues) for £1.50, the complete run of the 90s JSA series for a fiver, stuff like that. I've found some great comics there absolutely dirt cheap. Plus just looking through the boxes to see what's there is fun in itself even if you don't buy anything.

About 12 years ago I managed to fill in most of my Superbot/LSH issues for 25 cents each from the bargain bin. I picked up issues 197 - 212, I think, for just a quarter each! They were in pretty good condition too!

I did the same, but I also paid a good amount for some issues so it sort of balanced out and wasn't really so much of a bargain as some other things I've done [same with my Teen Titans collection].

Bargain bins have been my main source of LSH books as well. That's why I won't be picking up the Archives past a certain point.
My favorite bargain bin find was a copy of the original "Who Is Donna Troy?" for a quarter. I grabbed some old Fantasy Masterpieces ('40s Captain America reprints) pretty cheap once, too.

The first LSH I bought was from the 10-cent bin. Most of my Legion stuff is from the cheap boxes.
I bought the original Who Is Donna Troy when it first hit the stands, but I've bought copies at least 5 times in the cheap bins and given it to people. That's one of my favorite stories.

I finally got around to buying the New Mutants issue that crossed over into the Mutant Massacare! What drama! What a jerk Sunspot was! And I almost forgot how much I loved Dani, Magma and Illyiana!
