I *know* somewhere in this forum is a list of when the episodes are airing but I've had a few beers and can't find it.

I know there's a couple of reruns coming up but it might be nice to have a list of what episodes are airing on what date right here where it's easy to find and refer to.

This way nobody will miss a new episode-- especially me! [Big Grin]

This is the closest I've seen to an accurate episode guide. Unfortunately, it doesn't include air dates.

Summaries
"MAN OF TOMORROW"

When fearsome villains the fatal five set their sights on the newly formed Legion of Super Heroes, three of the Legion's members go back in time to get help from the greatest hero of all time: Superman. Instead they find Clark Kent, aware of his powers but not yet of his grand destiny.

"TIMBER WOLF"
A mysterious scientist asks the Legion to help capture a dangerous creature. They succeed, only to discover the creature is nowhere near as dangerous as the scientist himself.

"LEGACY"
Superman unknowingly saves the life of Alexis, one of the wealthiest people in the galaxy. Alexis and Superman become fast friends, but when Superman's Legion responsibilities get in the way of their friendship, Alexis decides to do something about it...

"FEAR FACTORY"
During a cosmic storm, the team takes refuge in a creepy, derelict space station. On board, one-by-one, each Legionnaire faces his or her deepest fear -- and then disappears.

"CHAMPIONS"
While supporting Lighting Lad as he competes in the challenging Galactic Games, Superman and Phantom Girl uncover a sinister plot by the Fatal Five! Lightning Lad has troubles of his own when he finds his biggest competition from someone close to him.

"PHANTOMS"
When Superman accidentally opens a gateway to a phantom dimension, a young man with powers identical to his is freed in the process. Now Superman must not only stop this destructive visitor, but also rescue the Legionnaires when they become trapped in the vistor's dimension.

"CHILD'S PLAY"
A young sorcerer arrives on Earth and causes a heap of trouble. In an effort to send him home, Superman learns of his vulnerability to magic, while Phantom Girl puts her diplomatic skills to the test as she travels to the sorcerer's secretive world to ask for help.

"LIGHTING STORM"
Much to the Legion's disappointment, Lighting Lad accepts an invitation to join an older, "cooler" team. Once there, however, Lightning Lad realizes these new heroes aren't exactly what they seem. Now, caught between the Legion and his new friends, Lighting Lad must decide once and for all where his loyalties lie.

"BRAIN DRAIN"
A major malfunction sends Brainiac 5's genius IQ plummeting. To obtain the rare element needed to save him, Superman and Timber Wolf must travel to the most inhospitable planet in the galaxy -- and thanks to a transporter accident, they have only Brainy's head to guide them.

"THE SUBSTITUTES"
It's that time of year again -- Legion Auditions! This year's crop is hardly promising, with most hopefuls turning out to be comic duds. But when the Legion is overwhelmed fighting a mysterious foe in Earth's upper atmosphere, a group of rejects takes it upon themselves to save the world below... with outrageous results.

"CHAIN OF COMMAND"
When disaster strikes Lightning Lad's home planet of Winath, the Legion is called to help. Lightning Lad's efforts to take charge are thwarted however when long-absent Legion leader Cosmic Boy arrives with an enigmatic new hero in tow.

"SUNDOWN, PT. 1"
The Legion is put to the ultimate test when an ancient weapon known as a Sun Eater comes to life. The Legion mounts a heroic defense, but the Sun Eater proves too powerful. Now at full strength, the unstoppable Sun Eater sets its sights on Earth...

Part one of a two-part episode

"SUNDOWN, PT. 2"

With the Sun Eater on a direct course for Earth's sun, the Legion has no choice but to ask bitter enemies for help to stop it. Superman meanwhile has his toughest battle yet when he discovers the stealthy alien controlling the sinister machine. In the end, the Legion triumphs... but at a terrible cost.

Part two of a two-part episode.

It may have something to do with when the episodes were completed, as opposed to the order in which they were written, assuming that's what the numbering is based on. I've noticed cartoons, especially, rarely air in their supposed episode order. The creator-extra tracks in the "He-Man" sets are full of "We wrote this one early on, but it was the 20th aired"-type comments.

No one knows yet.

According to Comics Continuum, "Timber Wolf" is slated to be rerun this Saturday.

I don't know if anyone's interested, but I was looking up the voice actors on IMDb and think I have a basic list of who's gonna be in which episode. (considering the only ones with all the episodes listed would be in all of them)
According to the site:

Superman
(all of them duh)

Lightning Lad
Aparently another writer/producer favorite, he's in all of them too.

Bouncing Boy
Chain of Command
Child's Play
The Substitutes
Lightning Storm
Sundown Part 1 and 2

Saturn Girl/Triplicate Girl (wHaT?!?!?!?! anyway, this could mean either one cause apparently she voices both)
Brain Drain
Chain of Command
Child's Play
Lightning Storm
The Substitutes
Sundown Part 1 and 2

Neither Phantom Girl, Brainiac 5, or Timberwolf have complete listings yet. (if you're wondering what I mean, apparently Brainy WASN'T in Fear Factory, it was all our imaginations) I'll update once they are.

Finally got my grids in.

Jan. 6: "Timber Wolf"
Jan. 13: "Champions"
Jan. 20: "Fear Factory"
Jan. 27: "Phantoms

I guess they're saving up for Feb. sweeps.

I had heard they were doing just that, holding back the episodes. But they are killing the series by doing this.

And please! Enough of the Timber Wolf episode already!

Seriously. Try as I might I keep missing the episodes because of my schedule, yet I've still seen the Timberwolf origin 3 freakin' times! Gah! [Evil]

Posted by Vee on :

Anyone know what this weeks episode is? Do we get the LSV?

Posted by Lightning Lad on :

Nope. Repeats until February at least Vee. This week is Fear Factory and the week after (12/23) is Man of Tomorrow.

Posted by Matthew E on :

Really? The Omnicom said that it was a new one on the 23rd.

Posted by Lightning Lad on :

I think Michael was basing it on a pattern but the schedules that have been released all say that the 23rd will be a repeat of Man of Tomorrow. Doesn't mean they can't change their minds and give us an early Christmas present of another new episode.

That is suckage most foul! Especially now that screencaps of the "Legion of Super Villains" have been released. Some of us want more fan fic and fan art fodder, dangit! DX Not to mention more material for things like Livejournal icons...because, ya know, some of us treat that like a drug addiction...

This is the standard set by US television, 13 episodes leaving three out of every 4 weeks for repeats. Japanese television series are usually 23-28 episodes, much like US live action shows. It also allows room for actual character development and a solid, season long, sub plot.

US television sucks

Sorry, Matthew, I was just speculating on the date for a new episode.

I notice that "Fear Factory", "Champions" and "Phantoms" are even more out of order than when they were originally aired. That's the correct order of 1.04, 1.05, and 1.06, but this time they've swapped episodes 4 and 5 (previously it was 4 and 6).

Any idea about Dec. 30? I suspect it would be episode 1.03 "Legacy" since they're showing episode 1.01 before it and episodes 1.03, 1.04, 1.05, and 1.06 after it, but ToonZone doesn't show any episode on the 30th.

Seymour, "Timber Wolf" is Jan. 6th, not 9th

Got confirmation today that the 12/30 episode will indeed be "Legacy".

Episodes 1-6 have been uploaded to Youtube. If you missed the timberwolf origin, go look for it there.

The format is usually 3 videos for 1 episode.

Search under Legion of Superheroes Episode

FYI -

I foresee the future format of shows like this just going straight to on-demand sights like Youtube.
- Fans can watch on their schedules
- creators can get direct revenues
- any re-watched shows generate more incremental revenue
- creators can get immediate (and accurate) viewing statistics
- shows can be distributed as they are completed
- no meddling, know-it-all, network execs

Comics Continuum, in a brief blurb, says that the next new episode of LSH (and of The Batman) will be on Feb. 3rd. However, they don't have the title or description of the episode yet. Looks like everything is being held off for Sweeps.

Posted by Lightning Lad on :

Renewed? Comics Continuum thinks so, saying that they learned that scripts are already in the works for a new season.

Posted by Vee on :

I'll be happy just to see an original episode for a change instead of another rerun! [Mad] Only four actually episodes airing in 4 months seems a bit....much.

Oh, well, guess it means lots more goodies in the New Year.

Posted by Yellow Kid on :

Any updated information here?

I'm a lifelong die-hard fan and even I'm starting to burn out on reruns. Watching the same four episodes over and over is going to spoil my pleasure with the DVD release. (sometime late this year??)

Posted by Space Cadet on :

Four episodes? Did you guys miss two of 'em, 'cause I've got six.

Posted by Yellow Kid on :

Oops. My bad, it IS six. Thanks for the correction Cadet.

[Big Grin]
Still, the question stands...any updates on those air dates yet?

Posted by Andorian Lantern on :

There might as well be 4. I've sat down to watch this show about a dozen times and I've seen the Timberwolf episode at least 4 of those times. I've see the first episode twice and fear factor twice. That's just silly. Considering the series is somewhat inconsistant IMO (some episodes are ok, two are great, some are terrible), variety might actually help win over the audience a bit more.

Posted by Awesomegirl on :

I hate it when this happens! All the new stuff doesn't come on until February, which sucks because January happens to be THE LONGEST MONTH OF THE YEAR!! I can't live on re-runs forever! I think the show has a lot of potential, maybe other people would see that if the network would stop screwing with us!!!( Sorry for the rant, I just had to blow off some steam, because as Andorian Lantern said, showing the same episodes over and over again is ridiculous)

Posted by Straya on :

It's probably not helping ratings too much, either. I've reached the point now, myself, where I'm not even watching, anymore. Don't get me wrong... I still adore the series, but I've got a lot going on in my life and that's half an hour I can use to draw, write fan fic or hell...just sleep (becaue I don't get to do that as often as I should).

(And GI Joe Sigma 6 has been in reruns as well... The Batman is, also, but the eps they're showing are at least ones I've NOT seen before.)

Posted by Andorian Lantern on :

Thing is I am still watching - there must be at least two episodes I haven't seen yet. There must be! O.O

Well, out of daily habit, I just signed into my work e-mail, and, lo and behold, the March grids were there. We get one more new episode in March before it's back to reruns!

March 3: Chain of Command
March 10: Lightning Storm
March 17: Brain Drain
March 24: Child's Play
March 31: The Substitutes

Posted by Lightning Lad on :

That's how CC has it too. We probably won't see the finale two episodes until May so expect an April full of repeats as well.

Posted by Suddenly Seymour on :

Got my April grids in today. Woo hoo!

April 7: Lightning Storm
April 14: The Substitutes
April 21: Chain of Command
April 28: SUNDOWN -- PART 1

Hmm, with only only two weeks between Substitutes airings, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a revision (they sent three or four revised grids for March with changes to "Monster Allergy"), but Sundown will probably stay in place.

Sundown has already aired in the UK. At least part one.

Cartoon Network UK showed 13 consecutive weekday episodes starting March 5, so they should get part 2 on Wednesday. Now they get 49 weeks of reruns (not counting torrent downloads).

Promos which aired this Saturday (April 21) indicated that KidsWB will be showing TWO episodes of LSH next week (April 28). Don't know if it'll be two new episodes, so double-check your local listings before planning your schedules/programming your recorders.
