As seen in the following examples, Ron-Karr had him a "thing" for the Chris Carmack-like sexiness of Nemesis Kid years ago. Which hot villainous lad will he be fawning over and pawing in the upcoming LSV Secial?

Example 1:

Ron-Karr attempts to compliment and brag himself into Nemesis Kid's favor, but instead only annoys him

 -

Example 2:

Ron-Karr gazes longingly as Nemesis Kid's buttocks

 -

Example 3:

After attempting a bit of unexpected P.D.A., Nemesis Kid breaks up with Ron-Karr

 -

And lastly, the Chris Carmack-like sexiness of Nemesis Kid:

Those panels are [LOL] .

Love me some Ron-Karr. It's my secret wish he betrays the LSV and joins the LSH at the end of this upcoming Special.

He was sadly absent from the 2-page spread though so who knows if he's even in it. [shrug]

As for who he'd go for now that Nemesis Kid is sadly no longer with us -

* Tyr looks like he could provide a bit of rough action.
* And Hunter is already half undressed.
* I'm worried he'd end up like that poor waitress if he went after Sun Emperor.
* And Terrax looks like he's far too much into creepy fetish-play to be a match for Ronny.

... I've decided Ron-Karr and Tyr should be the new power-couple of the LSV.

Cosmic King also seemed to be looking at NK's buttocks admiringly.

Maybe Ron-Karr and Cosmic King (your fishbowl or mine?)...

Cosmic King belongs with Mekt!

But I totally like the idea of Ron-Karr developing a crush on a hero!

Hmm... Ron-Karr and Color Kid?

nah have Ron-Karr pair up with Solon Darga (Phantom Lad)...

Stone Boy to be with Chlorophyll Kid...

Benn Pares attached with Grimbor the Chainsman...

that's how it imagines in my world. [Smile]

If his attraction is appearance-based, Lazon looks very similar to Nemesis Kid, visually.

Ron-Karr direly needs an upgrade. If he could fold himself into a nearly two-dimensional state and not just be 'paper-thin,' he could cut through pretty much anything made of matter, slicing between the molecular bonds as easily as Violet shrinks between them. His touch would be as deadly as that of Mano, or the Atomic Axe. (And he could still use his powers non-lethally, slicing weapons in half, or wrapping around people like a python.)

By comic book logic, Ron could discover a whole race living in the second dimension, and utilize their advanced 2D technology against the Legion!

He already has the uncanny ability to stick to walls in flattened form, a power which deserves further exploration!

Jeepers! He's practically the LSVs version of Spider Man, then! [Wink]

Posted by MLLASH on :

But I think he's more interested in sticking to hot authoritative powerful blonde dudes!

Hmmm. He is reminiscent of a Steve Ditko creation, both in appearance & abilities, isn't he.
Anyhoo, I'd like to see him paired up with the new Japanese guy- Sumo Sun or Sun Fat or whatever his name is!
One's fat, one's flat-what an awesome pair!!

Bah!! Ron-Karr is obviously only interested in hot insane blonde dudes... poor Fat-Sun or whatever his name is will only get his heart broken!

Ooh, and perhaps he'll be able to use their technology to zap people into the Second Dimension, where the locals consider him some sort of god (or angry ghost, since he's basically their version of Phantom Girl)!

Very cool!

DC's totally missing out on some bucks by not selling Ron-Karr rugs!

That black design on his back in the above picture makes it look like he's been given the atomic wedgie from hell!

And, from the smile, apparently enjoyed it...

Or Ron-Karr mats for your, uh, car.

Was it ever explained why Ron-Karr can flatten himself??

Is he from a planet where everyone can flatten themselves to survive the horrific wind storms?

Did he drink a formula invented by his mad scientist father?

Did he fall into a vat of super-flattening liquid as a toddler?

Is he from the Mural City of Nandor, flattened and displayed on the wall of his ship by the Bizarro Brainiac?

Ron-Karr of the Neptune Colonies was born with the mutant ability to turn himself two-dimensional. In 2975, he auditioned for the Legion of Super-Heroes, but was turned down for the basic uselessness of his powers (Adventure Comics # 314). He then turned instead to the Legion of Super-Villains, who received him warmly despite his powers' uselessness. He participated in most of the Super-Villains' schemes, but mainly for the camaraderie that he found in the group. He never had any true criminal tendencies, and, being somewhat timid, his role in any of the Legion of Super-Villains' battles tended to range from the minor to the non-existent.

Not nearly as good as what you guys came up with.

Mutant? Feh!

I say, he helped an alien trapped under a tree, who thanked him by granting him the gift of awesome power!! (Insect Queen has the world's best origin IMO).

I think he's a fan boy who sold his soul to the devil and made several chemical concoctions in his bath tub in order to be able to turn 2D and enter comic books ... to be with his only friends.
<life was tough for a kid named Ronaldino Karrczewski in the suburbs during the 60s>

( he made up that part about being from Neptune because he didn't understand the concept of the Multi-Verse. )

unfortunately he can only turn 2D in comic books as well ..... and it's harder to make friends in the DC Universe than he thought!

"Why dosn't Nemesis Kid Like me????"

btw if you google Ron Karr ... it appears he escaped the DCU and is now a successful business man.

[shrug]

I think it's obvious that Ron Karr is from the 2nd dimension.

Reading those old pages again reminded me of how much I prefer cartoon Nemesis Kid to the original. Maybe he's evil, maybe he's basically good but just has a jerkface-ish personality. Maybe he started out good but will eventually end up evil because his ambition outstrips his abilities. Because the continuity ended where it did, that's all left up in the air.

Oh, and his powers make much more sense than those of the original version, too.

With gay characters now exploding all over TV and comics, the time seems ripe to bring back ol' Flatface...

Thin Girl (from BITS of Legion Business) is a mutant from the Pancake House of Mural City on the Cloud Miner City of Bespin-Neptune, where Rollerpin Rosie and Bouncing Boy went on a rampage with a malfunctioning cellular-trim ray, and is able to 'flatten' herself in two dimensions and make herself one-dimensional!
