I thought i would start this thread for all you canadian fans and music fans. Because of the impact of the SARS scare had on the toronto economy, the powers that be decided to hold a concert to help say HEY TORONTO IS SAFE COME AND SPEND MONEY Anyway they are having a huge concert with THE STONES, RUSH, AC/DC and others, CBC is having a webcast all day and night, not necessasrily the concerts but maybe portions and crap, i'm am not sure yet, but anyway they have a biography of ACDC on right now, so heres the link if you are interested.
There was a rumor yesterday or the day before that Paul McCartney might be making a surprise appearance, have you heard anything like that?

yeah i heard that rumour, i dont believe it though. When woodstock 94 was happening, there were rumours of THE STONES coming and LED ZEPPELIN but that never happened. My question is, who would be headlining then?? the stones or McCartney

Maybe they'd just let him sit in on bass. They have an opening.
Come to think of it, is Darryl Jones still the touring bassist for the Stones these days? I have no idea anymore.

It's probably one hell of a concert - I just got tired of the hype.
They claim it's broken the record for ticketed sales - 450,000.
And it's not just for SARS now - they've thrown in the Western beef producers, too - free burgers? Or just speeches about how Canadian beef is safe to eat?
