I'm a bit lost in one of my more unproductive moments of the day i went on to Wikipedia and looked up some legionaries bio's now it be wrong i have no doubt about that but i would just love for some one to clear this up for me

For atom girls bio it says she was implied dating lighting lass, but in the lighting saga timber wolf and Ayla are implied dating can some one help me with this?

by the way half of the bio's implies that half the team plays for both teams, witch i find amusing for some odd reason it wold explain some of cosimc boy choice in clothing [Big Grin]

Through the 60s and 70s, Ayla dated Timber Wolf and Vi dated Duplicate Boy of the Heroes of Lallor.

In the early 80s, both of these Legion lasses broke up with their respective boyfriends. The two also became close friends during this period.

By the Five Years Later Legion (89-94), they had become a couple.

In the reboot Legion, Ayla dated Chameleon for awhile, and Vi had a couple of romantic things but nothing too serious (well, other than the fact she almost married Mordru).

In the threeboot Legion, Ayla has dated half the guys on the team and Vi hasn't really shown any romantic inclinations that I recall.

The Lightning Saga Legion Ayla apparently either never broke up with Brin as in the original Legion or they got back together or something.

There's a list of legion relationships in the Galactic encyclopedia section, it just dons'nt cover the threeboot.

The threeboot Vi has made leering comments towards Brin and Drake. Comments do not imply follow-through, but taking a public position is leading.

On the LGBTQ issue, isn't it time that somebody in 3boot comes out? It's a big team; too big to not have some queer representation. And it'd be nice if the boys took a turn.

It'd be fun if it were Timber Wolf. That'd follow the Midnighter strategy of up-ending expectations by making the gay-boy dangerous. On the other hand, Element Lad (prissy pants) could be a good way to acknowledge the grains of truth in the stereotypes while playing with expectations.

Sure, they've both had 3boot connections with women, but most gay men have (especially when young), so that'd not stop a coming out.

Maybe they could date each other? There has to be a pair (so they can react to each other) if their presence is to have any impact on the story-line.

This would be a good chance, too, for Shooter to step-up and support equality. There have been rumours that he's anti-gay (from his time at Marvel). The Legion would be a reasonable place to reverse all that.

I really miss Ayla & Vi as a couple. I'm disappointed to see Ayla and Brin together again in Action....it seems kind of unlikely that the writers will have them go down the same road, the break up, with Vi and Ayla getting close. It would have been a great thing to have those two together at this point in Action, acknowledging one of the greatest Legion romances in history from the (new) start. [Frown] Hope it can still happen though.

my money is on chameleon in the threeboot there was a sentence that kinda was got me thinking in issue nineteen

when the chick kissed him and he pushed her off him and she said something like "i should have realized your not in fixed shape life forms."

and cham's answer "is..yeah..thats it."

if that isn't a hint i dont know what is

Except for the fact that Chameleon is genderless in this boot. So the male/female thing has no relevance to Cham.

its kind of hard for me not to think of cham as a guy old habits and that

well that could be true to a point, cham could just be into the guy side rather then both like he/she is

I'm more interested in the Legion relationships that aren't necessarily sexual. The Garth / Ayla relationship or the Brin / Val friendship from several boots ago. It would be interesting to see some friendships, which were sorely lacking, IMO, in the threeboot. (Although Gim and Jo seemed to get along well and Brainy and Vi have a fairly peculiar romance-free relationship.)

I agree that this is an important part of the Legion, and has really been missing in recent years. But I have hope. I feel like Shooter has already done more to develop the characters' personalities than Waid and Bedard did in their entire runs. Just the little bits like Ayla's concern for Garth and the Brin/Imra exchange make me think that there will be more emphasis on the interpersonal aspects of the characters.
