While I'm working on the Darling Debs challenge, I thought it might be fun to get another "face shots only" challenge going. Let's make it an all male contest, too.

Young Cosmic boy. His face always seemed so generic to me. I still think Ferro Lad. He probably looks like Brad Pitt, but hales from that pig planet on Twilight Zone. Eh, I don't really like either of my picks so much.
Host: well maybe a guest, that "plastic surgeon" Ferro visited.
Location: People getting non-medical plastic surgery seem to me trying to turn back time, so I'd pick maybe the timestream or the end of time as a location.

This is odd, just yesterday I was considering starting an "if Celebrand had a full head of hair, would he have been left out of the Wanderers series?" thread. But I think I got distracted by something shiny that wasn't Celebrand's forehead.

Re: anything else: There was a version of R.J. Brande drawn in which he was bald (and slim). I think it was in one of the early Universo stories but will have to check later. Since this was a once-only, maybe he could make a guest appearance.

Wow, I'm so pleased by all the fun ideas and comments!
Starting with the "OTHER" category: 1. I've noticed this Phillipe mentioned here or there, but I have NO idea who he is. Teeds, Lash... Who is Phillipe? 2. If people want Sharn Nux or any other characters included, I'd be happy to remove the "male only" tag. Let it be known! 3. LOVE the hair machine idea! Already brewing a ton of ideas! 4. I only vaguely recall a slim, bald Brande. I'll need to see that. What issue # was it? 5. BB, young Cos... if his hair was all slicked back, his bubble helmet was on and there was a glare right where you'd normally see hair, I'd say he'd qualify then.

Also, you're point about G&P's with dark hair reminds me that I wanted to do a "Make-Over" Pinup Model Edition. It'd be fun to show say... Imra with black hair, Ayla with blue... etc... that kind of thing.

Here's the outline...
First, Luthor will introduce the semi-finalists. There will be 10 or 11 or 12 or something like that. Luthor will ask you to vote for your top five.
Next, the top five will complete their challenge, and Luthor will ask you to choose your top two.
Then, Luthor will introduce the finale.
Then, your winner will take his place on the winners' cover of fame.

Set, Blockade Boy nominated Cos way back in the beginning of this thread. It only just recently occurred to me that he might have meant Adventure Comics Adult Legion story Cos. I figured he meant Cos with the bubble helmet which obscures the view of his hair. I think it's a fun/ny idea to put him in this and see how he does. (So far... 2 votes.)

The finale is posted! I'd like to extend apologies to those who nominated the End of Time as a setting. In a facial close up competition, the backgrounds are way less pertinent. I did pick this challenge's bg color, thinking of entropy, but it doesn't really matter. I'd like to use the Trapper's domain for a challenge some other time, including the grotesque architecture shown in the Adventure Era.

There is something about the Peek-A-Boosuader that makes me expect him to break out into girlish giggles any second. I don't know if that's quite the impression he'd prefer to cultivate.

Wow! What a rare shot of Brande. He must have lost a bet or something. You must be so relieved to have found this, FC.
Remember when Grell drew him all skinny, in the Grimbor/Charma issue? At least he looked like himself still.
I notice that Sun Boy's sun symbol and shirt are both red. Cham's skull cap isn't right, and Cos is not wearing his gloves.
Isn't it weird how the Legionnaires will sometimes alter their costumes for no apparent reason?
(I know they're art/coloring errors, but I think it's fun to consider them canonical deviants.)
